I miss all the political perspectives my subscription brought me. PS. Currently I received the print version of the publication by mail 3 weeks ago, but the electronic version has not yet appeared for download on the app. This should be easy to correctly. ### 3/5 — Unable to download current issue despite having a subscription *2021-06-15* I have had a paid subscription to Maclean’s for over a year. No problems. However, last night When I tried to download the current issue, the download button did not appear. Instead, the Sign in to your account” button appeared. As I have a digital subscription, I do not have a subscription number to use to sign in. I contacted Maclean’s customer service, but their solution was for me to call Apple. I tried to tell Maclean’s customer service that the information in my Maclean’s account indicated that I was paid through June 25. Nevertheless, I called Apple and it was confirmed I had an open subscription to Maclean’s. I have emailed Maclean’s several times to advise them that my account was good but nothing has been done on their end to remedy the situation. So, I am paying for a subscription that I cannot access. The magazine is 5 stars. Everyone has an opinion and In some cases, several opinions. While I don’t always agree with all of MacLean’s journalists, I do appreciate the time and care they undertake to present ‘all’ views and opinions. As a proud Albertan I fear for the very real prospect of Canada loosing the people, the prosperity and the culture of this totally unique province.McLeans remains one of the few sounding boards where Albertans and their story can still be told. ### 2/5 — Great writing. I find that reading longer articles on an app just isn’t the same as a print version. Over the past decade I have observed a steady swing in content toward promoting an imbalance of opinion that strongly favours left wing socialist policy and politics. Whether this is due to the recent government funding or simply a desire on the part of the editors to impose their political views on the country, I find it more and more difficult to open the magazine knowing the depth of one sided commentary. Not all Conservatives are blindly righteous white males, and not all liberals can walk on water. Get a balance in your reporting or hope to get a new subscriber base. The app is design to work like a magazine with flip pages. It works, but it’s just not a pleasant way to read the news on an mobile phone. It would be so great if their interface was more considerate of how people take in information. It just feels a bit dated and inconsiderate. The newsletter is at least easier to read, but it’s just text. I hope they continue to invest in their mobile app, there is potential! ### 1/5 — Sorry to part ways. *2020-10-15, version 7.3* I’m ending my long-standing subscription this month. I loved the back half of Macleans magazine with its feature articles. I liked some of the front half editorials. But I don’t like the political articles because I’ve already been deluged with their content for a week before Macleans runs them. I’m on Twitter and find that I have picked up most of Macleans content there. Sorry. It’s been a good run with you but it’s time to go our separate ways. 😢 ### 1/5 — Access to electronic Magazine *2020-09-13, version 7.2* Have not been able to read the Maclean’s magazine yet. This mag has been around as long as Methuselah, and has informed Canadians long before Rogers came along. The superlative writing and writers have just gotten better, and has been a weekly source of informed comment since my teens, some sixty years ago. I’m betting that the only thing Rogers did was get their software guys to work on making the mag easier to navigate. But the digital version I purchase is just too damned pricey, and when us old die hards kick the bucket, the generations after us will find a cheaper news source, and Rogers will just dump the title to a second string news aggregator. ### 5/5 — Canada's News Magazine *2019-08-24, version 7.1* How can you beat a news magazine that features Canadian and World news from a Canadian perspective?
