## What is Macroline?

Macroline is a calorie and macro tracker that shows where every number comes from. Each food carries its source: USDA, the manufacturer, the restaurant, the Open Food Facts community, or an estimate that says it is one. Type what you ate, scan a barcode, or search, and see what's left for the day at a glance.

KNOW WHERE YOUR NUMBERS COME FROM
Every food shows a source badge. Tap the badge to see exactly where the numbers came from. We never pass a guess off as a fact: an AI estimate is always labeled as one, and you can always adjust it.

LOG WITHOUT THE BURDEN
- Describe: type "grilled chicken with brown rice and broccoli" and Macroline turns it into logged entries, each with its source. No ten-tap forms.
- Scan: point your camera at any barcode. We match it against USDA, Open Food Facts, and our own catalog. Scanning is free.
- Search: type-ahead with brand, alias, and fuzzy matching.
- Recents, favorites, and saved meals: you eat the same foods on repeat. Re-log your usuals, or a whole meal, in a couple of taps.

HIT YOUR PROTEIN
Set a protein target with the built-in calculator and track toward it every day. (It is a starting point, adjust it with your dietitian.)

GLP-1 AND WEIGHT-LOSS MEDICATION TRACKING
Track semaglutide, tirzepatide, naltrexone-bupropion, phentermine, and more. See your dose-in-system over time, log side effects, and watch how it lines up with your week. (Macroline does not provide medical advice.)

YOUR BODY LOG
Bathroom breaks, how you feel, supplements, and your cycle, one tap each, right alongside your meals. Turn on only the sections you want.

WEIGHT TRENDS, NOT DAILY NOISE
Sync your weight with Apple Health and watch the trend over weeks instead of obsessing over the daily number.

CONNECT YOUR AI ASSISTANT
Macroline ships with an MCP server, so you can connect Claude or other AI tools to log meals, query your diary, and ask "how much protein have I had this week?" straight from your assistant.

USE IT ANYWHERE
Macroline also runs in your browser at my.macroline.app, so your diary follows you across your devices.

NO DIET SHAME
No streak pressure. No fasting nudges. No "you ate too much" messages. Tracking is for awareness. What you do with it is up to you.

### 5/5 — Finally!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2026-05-22*

This app is awesome. I’m on a GLP-1… I work out, track my food, watch my shot, and definitely watch my macros. My husband isn’t on a GLP-1, but he is a marathon runner who works out and trains hard. He watches his macros too. It’s really cool to have an app like this that covers it all and isn’t just specifically for the GLP-1 users or those who are athletic. I feel like this is great for anyone trying to keep an eye on what they do throughout the day. Highly recommend!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.10.4 — 2026-09-27

Connecting Macroline to Claude is simpler and safer: add the connector in Claude, paste Macroline's address, and sign in on Macroline's own page. There's nothing to copy into a chat.

Plus small fixes and improvements.

### 1.10.3 — 2026-09-26

The injection-site map is redrawn: a real body instead of a rough sketch, and twelve places to mark instead of eight, including the sides of your abdomen and upper or lower on each thigh.

You can now set the name the app calls you, under Profile in More. Leave it empty and it goes back to your email address.

Weight after your shots is now grouped by area (abdomen, thigh, upper arm) so the numbers have enough doses behind them to mean something.

### 1.10.2 — 2026-09-24

Macroline has a new name on the App Store: Macroline: GLP-1 Food Tracker. Same app, same account, same data.

New: when you step up a dose or start a new vial, change the medication's dose and vial from its menu instead of removing it and adding it again. Doses you already logged keep their amounts.

This update also helps us see which ways of adding food people use and where they get stuck, so we can make logging faster.

### 1.10.1 — 2026-09-24

New in this version:
- Log injectable doses in syringe units. Macroline shows the math, for example 50 units = 0.5 mL at 10 mg/mL = 5 mg.
- Record where each injection went on a body map, read what your medication's FDA label says about injection sites, and see your weight change by site.
- One unit setting for your whole account: pounds and feet, or kilograms and centimeters, everywhere in the app and on the web. Neck, waist and hip measurements can now be entered in inches.
- Scan a supplement's barcode to add it.

Fixes: adding a compounded medication, scrolling in Body & Lifestyle, saving your profile, the back arrow on Body, minutes that showed as a single digit, error messages that showed codes instead of sentences, and a smoother pull-to-refresh.

### 1.9.5 — 2026-09-21

Fixed the reminder prompt not appearing for people who skipped the setup steps. If you never got asked about daily reminders, Macroline will offer once now - one gentle nudge at 8 PM, or dismiss it and it won't ask again.
