I tried replacing meals that were duplicated for the day as well, lunch and dinner on one day was chili with no replacement. Perhaps there’s a glitch . It was enough to have me cancel on day 1. ### 4/5 — Great except… no sync options *2023-08-09, version 1.16.0* I love this app for tracking Macros and the staxchat support! I left for a bit, then went back. The adjustment of macros for rest/workout days has changed life, as long as you follow them. I only wish it supported syncing to apple health or any other workout app so that I can look at my combined data. Their recipes are delicious and my family loves them. They come out with new recipes every month and most are seriously satisfying. The functionality to customize the recipe is easy if you want to switch ingredients. I do wish there was an ability to import recipes from the web to save time, but it’s not a deal breaker. Their customer service is super responsive and will help with how to fill macros and give you creative ideas too. The support is fantastic, and I love that I have a place to ask my questions. The app is easy to use, and I love getting my green thumbs and confetti when I hit my target macros. However, I do think there are a few tweaks they could make to help make it a bit more user friendly. They only offer a few measurements (tbs or grams) and I think it would be helpful to offer more types of measurements instead of having to manually convert things. Also, when making a shake for instance, it would be helpful to be able to scan all of your ingredients into the planner for the day then click “save recipe” instead of the other way around when creating a custom recipe. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! Macros are high and use is cumbersome. What was experienced was not what was advertised. The annual membership is throwing away $279.00. It seems like the new app is charging users of the older app version cards even when they already been cancelled their subscription and the only way to reach them by email. They don’t answer their phone number that my bank said is their actual number. I need my money back in my account to pay my phone bill. Please give me my $119.88 back. Thank you! ### 1/5 — Renewed without warning after cancellation *2023-09-01, version 1.18.0* Renewed without warning even though I had previously cancelled. Only gave me a 50% refund. And the app is nothing special. Go elsewhere. Make sure you cancel well in advance and remember when your billing cycle is because they won’t email you, or send any reminders. Oh and no refunds of course. ### 1/5 — Nope *2023-05-15, version 1.11.0* Shiftiest organisation ever when it comes to renewals. No reminders whatsoever, then charge large sums to you card and say it’s your fault because this happening is buried in the terms and conditions and that you are expected to remember. Clearly most people will forget and get caught out by this. Sign up at your peril, but put a reminder in your calendar to cancel with plenty of time. ### 1/5 — Web based version was perfect, hate it now *2023-04-28* I signed up for Macrostax about a year and a half ago and really loved it. I was able to do weekly planning on the website, create custom recipes, and then use the ‘app’ to makes adjustments on the fly during the week. Loved it so much I joined as a lifetime member just before they launched their new app. Now there is no web version and trying to plan everything on my phone is too cumbersome, eye straining, and many previous features have been removed. The company should have surveyed current users to determine most requested features and implemented them before launching the new app. Now most recipes aren’t available with weight measurements (this is the easiest way for me to cook and serve), and the fill my macros feature still hasn’t been added back. I’ve asked many times for the web version to be reinstated and they say there are no plans for that, but they made sure to add a calculator for counting booze. Priorities are obviously way off. At least I’m a lifetime member and will hopefully be able to use the app again when new changes come. I love how easy it is to enter foods and keep track of macros and calories. The bar code scanner is very helpful. When I’ve needed the chat feature they’ve always been very responsive and helpful. The only downside I can see is it’s not cheap. I love the user friendly aspects of this app, and how easy it is to scan barcodes to instantly get the macro. Also, OBSESSED with the recipes they provide. I hate cooking, and have never been great at making a tasty meal (especially one that is healthy) but I have been cooking and meal prepping like crazy with this app and every single meal has been delicious! Even my husband enjoys the meals. They list out the ingredients easily, so shopping for groceries is a breeze, and I love that you can edit/customize the meals and still get accurate macros. I highly recommend this app 👏🏼 ### 5/5 — Best app I've ever used *2023-09-14* I have tried them all. I was a MFP user since they first came out. However over time they have gone downhill. After they started limiting more and more features I began my search for a new app. I tried LoseIt, Calorie Counter, Cronometer, etc - none were user friendly or limited access to features I love (like the scanning feature). Macrostat not only has the scanning feature on their free version, but they are the most user friendly app I have ever used. I love how it shows the macros not only daily but for each meal. I can adjust ingredients very easily from the main screen. If I want more protein from a certain ingredient, I can just adjust the protein and it tells me what serving size I need. The nutritionist are super quick and engaging to respond in the chat. And when you hit your green thumbs, that celebratory confetti on the screen is a real dopamine producer. I’m not always perfect but when I stay consistent, I see the results. Stax chat is available to talk to you if you have any problems or questions. There is great support and encouragement in the Facebook group as well. Macrostax is a community that wants you to hit your goals and will provide all the resources you need to do so. The logging feature is so user friendly and the scanner works great as well. I love the “copy yesterdays meal” feature. All of the recipes are amazing as well. I am two weeks into following my macros and I feel so much better, I have lost 3 pounds and can tell a difference in my body.
