And best of all, now that we know how to collect hits and blocks, no paper stats! Can’t wait for future enhancements, on we are hoping for is the ability to export stats to excel and our website. We organize functions, arrange carpools and communicate often using messages in the app. We use MadPuck to schedule all games (directly from our organization), all practices, and functions, including location data! Our players can also join to have awareness around practice and game times so that it is not all on the parents to be ready. Our coaches love the stats options and tracking player performance. Coaches are able to notice trends in how players are developing and adjust coaching based on the data from the game. MadPuck has been a game changer for us and we will be using it every year to support our team. Shots, goals, penalties, plus/minus….Mad Puck easily does it all. Add team family members so they can track the live action. That’s right…LIVE! As you track the game (even stoppages) all those who are fans can see the action as it happens. I had a suggestion to change the way players are displayed for goal entry. I took a chance and emailed the developer. Imagine my surprise when he emailed me within hours. We emailed back and forth discussing options for 2 days. I’ve never had support like that when buying a $60,000 truck let alone a free app!!! This is the real deal. Give it a try. It’s easy to manage and parents love being able to tune in while not at the game. Amazing app for parents, coaches and players as a whole! ### 5/5 — This is THE team management app *2023-10-13, version 4.1* I have had experience with a few team management platforms, and each is either too complicated (causing my team’s parents to gripe) or missing a small (but critical) function. I am Head Coach for a minor hockey team and this platform pulls down the calendar provided by the League/Association while also allowing my managers to add team events and practices outside of that official calendar. My parents, players and fans of the team can subscribe to the Mad Puck calendar and have one source of truth for our team schedule. The statistics features of this platform are unrivalled - I have never found an app that has the rich features of this platform, especially around the tracking itself. It allows delegation of “scoring and stats” duties to multiple parents volunteers to track during games from their own devices, and then coach and bench can review the aggregated stats from a game or a set of games (ie a tournament). Great response and turnaround from the North American-based development team. Every hockey and lacrosse team should be using MadPuck! ### 5/5 — Great Team App *2023-04-30* Used Mad Puck this season for both teams I coached and loved every part of this app. From the player attendance section to the individual and team stats, this app exceeded all expectations. Very easy to use and keeps parents, players and fans updated. Parents loved the play-by-play feature and being able to stay involved even if they were unable to attend a game. The stats area needs a way to display cumulative player stats for the season not just overall team stats. Also, unless I’m doing something wrong, there isn’t a way to record a minus for a player in the penalty box when the other team scores a PP goal. **Developer response:** Thank you for the review and feedback. You can display cumulative players stats by associating a player with your fan and making the fan a parent. Mad Puck does that. Keeping the family in touch with what is going on with the game, giving details about how much time is left, and the nitty gritty deep down details too! Stat tracking is great as long as you have a team of people inputting the information… while it might be a little overwhelming at first, you can pick it up pretty easily! The functionality and capabilities of the app are exactly what I’ve been envisioning for a comprehensive sports (ice hockey) app. So far it’s met our expectations! We haven’t started the season so it’s an early evaluation but super easy and AWESOME! Secondly, I had a notifications question that is submitted to their contact us page and got a response in less than 5min with very clear instructions on how to setup the app the way we wanted. If we all-ready didn’t have Team Snap for team coms I wouldn’t of just used this for everything and payed for premium.
