We fixed a problem that could make MaDeals freeze or show "not responding" on startup, and photos now load noticeably faster on that first screen. On the map, every listing is now its own pin — the grouped number bubbles are gone, so you can see exactly what's where. We also fixed the home screen showing only services when there was nothing listed close to you. ### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-29 Faster, sharper, safer. Photos load dramatically faster Listing images are now up to 8× smaller and noticeably sharper, and you'll see a preview of every photo the instant the list appears instead of waiting on a blank square. Reopening the app now loads from your device rather than downloading everything again. Your feed learns what you're looking for MaDeals now pays attention to what you search for and open, and moves similar listings nearer the top. It stays on your phone — nothing about your browsing is uploaded — and it fades as your interests change. Reply to messages, properly Long-press any message and hit Reply. The message you're answering is quoted right in the chat, so conversations about a price or a meeting point are easy to follow. Stories: captions and clearer replies Add a caption before you post, and see it clearly over any photo. When someone replies to your story, the chat now shows which story they meant — tap it to open. A Verified tab Browse listings from businesses that have passed council-licence and ID verification. Better map search Searching now takes you straight to the nearest matching listing instead of covering the map with a list. The recenter button also actually centres on you now. Scam protection MaDeals warns you when a message asks you to pay before you collect — the most common scam on any marketplace. New sellers are marked, so you know who you're dealing with.
