For some reason, when I play any song whether it’s normal or a sing-along, there is a dead space for the notes. On the lower half of my screen, the game simply doesn’t register my taps and it’s unbelievably frustrating. I can be tapping the screen and it just won’t register ANYTHING for a so,id 3-4 seconds, which when you’re playing a fast song is extremely damaging to your score. PLEASE figure out what’s causing this issue.

Another great app has been ruined by a pointless mandatory update. I loved Magic Piano as it was and played it whenever I was feeling stressed, so I played it often. Loved the look of it, the sounds, the songs and the scoring. Unfortunately 6.1.1 was released and when I tried to play my older version of it, I couldn't. Kept getting pulled to the update page. Having no choice other than deleting it, I updated. Man what a mess it is now! It looks visually as bad as Apple's IOS 7. The font type is very light and thin, there's way too much white background, and the song titles are nearly impossible to read. And a new design of light pastel colors too. So although the songs are still fun, the song title screen looks horrible and I don't play it as often. I certainly won't be purchasing any more titles for it. The point about updates is allowing choice. Some people might love it. But don't FORCE people into it. I hate it now. Please update and bring back the cool original look. Apple made a design mistake and so have you. I'm also having a lot of stress over the relentless ads that pop up. Some of them, the Disney one for instance does not go away. I have to literally close the app and re-open it. I don't recall the other versions being so advertising heavy. Please remove all these annoying commercials and let us simply play piano.

Eu jogo esse jogo todo dia eu participo das daily challenges todo dia porém uma coisa que eu não gosto muito além dos anúncios mas eu sei que você tem que pagar o Premium pra poder tirar os anúncios então não vou falar nada é só que o fato de quando eu vou fazer as músicas algumas vezes o áudio buga e eu não consigo escutar direito e fica muito ruim de ouvir mas tirando isso é um jogo muito bom só preciso melhorar mesmo

Okayyyyy so overall it’s a really great game to just like chill and relax. My one problem is that smoola are way too hard to get and songs cost so much of it. Maybe making the songs cheaper would be better. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My 10 year old boy has shown interest in learning piano. He was enjoying some familiar songs in this app when an ad popped up for Love Island which featured an animated girl (woman?) in bra and panties acting all coy and suggestive. It’s one of those ads that you can’t exit from and you have to wait through it all. I know the app doesn’t have complete say in every ad, but user beware, they do not screen their advertisers for age appropriate content. We deleted the app, but this incident prompted me to search Smule’s app and if this is their norm. Turns out that they also have chat features where strangers can connect and rate and comment on their songs. Other apps allow you to record yourself while singing and upload the video for review of public. This leads to access to your kids, their voice, and image, and also private conversations with strangers. Please be aware!!!!

I had this app when I was a kid. I loved it. And it was accessible. Now it has been ruined with ads and pushes a $10/week or $20/month membership if you want the same experience I had for free as a kid. You can only earn 5 coins by watching an ad, which is outrageous. And every time you play a song an ad plays after and you don’t earn any coins for that. You only start off with 3 songs so there is no incentive to play unless you get a membership. I won’t be giving into that. It’s really a shame because I used to love this app.

I do deeply feel the composer needs more improvement. Here are my 2 suggestions.
First, I think the composer could use more notes below the second octave because a piano has notes below c2.
Second, I want to add tempo changes in my music. I think it will add help add effect.
I’m not saying this game is down bad but I mainly just want the composer to be better which is why I gave it 3 stars.

I really like this game so far but my composer won’t open?? It just stays on the loading screen whenever I try to open it. I don’t know what’s going on or how to fix it. I’d really like to use the composer.

I’d also like this app much better if we could work on multiple pieces at once?? It seems like you can only compose one song at a time, I think you should be able to have multiple projects at once.

So this is a really great app, but recently I’ve been experiencing an annoying bug that makes the game slightly unplayable. The composer just. Wont. Load. Every time i try to load it the screen changes to a darker purple and the loading signal stays there. Overall this app is amazing!

There is literally an option to copy someone’s entire song and Reupload it. I don’t gaf if credits are automatically included, this is bad. It also PINPOINTS where you are on the map! It is hard to compose a song on the ugly interface, and the piano sounds like something out of the dumpster! Don’t waste your time. Plus the ads make me want to puke.

Now it crashes after <5 min, completely freezing everything even with a brand new iPhone.

As mentioned in the title, composer has been broken for half a year at this point. This remains despite the reviews stating the same and sending multiple support tickets (where I am always reassured that the team know and are "working on it"). I'm aware that this app is maintained by a skeleton crew at this point but for the people that at any point actually cared about the creation aspect of the game this completely sours the experience. I'm saying this with a begrudging love, as someone who's been playing since 2014; fix your app.

I’ve been using magic piano since 2017 and have enjoyed it ever since. Made so many memories over time, while making some songs myself. 
Definitely recommend using this app if you’re bored or love music, especially with the piano.

I don’t understand why people think this is too hard. I’ve been playing it for years and never had a VIP or watch the ads and have over 600 songs. I probably have over 700, but smule keeps losing them off my list. I understand that the storage might be limited, but I wish they gave me the option to dump the free stuff I got and didn’t like and keep the stuff I want. It’s still free to play, but doesn’t show up on my list so I have to hunt for them to play them. The other objection I have is that you can’t earn any more smula after you get to the highest level, but I can understand why since I’m not paying them anything. I’m just afraid that it is so old they will stop supporting it and there’s no way to preserve what I have any more. I will really miss it when it’s gone.

You just have to add the following to make this music game even better!
1. Themes. We are sick and tired of the same dot colors. Themes would really spice up the appearance!
Number 2 through 5 will deal with the song composer.
2. Increase BPM range. I don’t know why it maxed out at 220 BPM. I want the range increased to 500 BPM.
3. Have the piano in the composer include all 88 keys. It’s weird that the first few keys aren’t included. Just makes the composer piano feel incomplete.
4. More time signatures! I know that 4/4 and 3/4 are common but I want to see signatures like 6/8, 2/4, 12/8, and why not 142/8? This would really add some variety.
5. Fix the issue with uploading songs with tags. Every time I try to upload a song with tags, it always says “failed to upload song. Check internet connection.” I’d love to see that fixed.
MORE STUFF!
6. New interface design. I stuck with the same interface look that’s been hanging around for the longest time than the previous designs. Maybe you can add a setting that lets us change how the interface looks! That would be cool!
7. Last but not least, NEW INSTRUMENTS!! I just can’t believe that I feel like it was only yesterday that I started playing this game on my iPad and I’d already unlocked all the instruments. I bet that if there were more instruments the songs would sound more interesting.
