## What is MagicAVRemote Mobile?

Magic AV Remote is a fast, focused iPhone app for controlling Pioneer, Onkyo, and Denon home-theater receivers — full transport, tone, zone, and metadata control from your pocket, with no separate remote in hand.

It speaks fluently to receivers across the major control protocols used in the home-theater market over the last decade — modern eISCP, legacy Pioneer Telnet, and Denon — and gives you a single interface that adapts to whichever feature set your connected receiver actually supports. No shimming, no guessing.

CORE CONTROL
• Power & volume — one-tap power, precise dB-accurate volume readout, smooth press-and-hold ramping, mute with visible state
• Input selection — full input picker with 40+ source types; custom names you've set on the receiver are read back and displayed
• Listening modes — browse and apply surround/listening modes, with the current mode reflected live as the receiver updates
• Tone & EQ — bass, treble, and equalizer bands where supported; the panel stays out of the way when your receiver doesn't expose them
• Channel level metering — per-speaker display with individual trim, so you can dial in a room without hunting for the remote
• Multi-zone — independent control of the main zone, Zone 2, and Zone 3, each tracked separately

• Live metadata — track title and artist from network sources (AirPlay, streaming services) appear in real time as the receiver reports them

Every core action — power, volume, mute, input selection, and player transport — is exposed as a native Shortcuts action, zone-aware where it applies. Chain them into routines, trigger them by voice with Siri, run them on a schedule, or fire them from an Automation (arrive home, tap an NFC tag, sunset) — no need to open the app at all.

• Per-receiver themes — pick from curated presets (Onyx, Pearl, Ember, Ruby, Amber, Citrine, Spectrolite, Opal); each saved receiver remembers its own theme
• Network discovery — receivers on your local network are detected automatically; save them with friendly names and the app handles IP changes and reconnects
• Resilient connections — automatic reconnection and clear failure reporting mean the app behaves predictably even after your phone locks or the app goes to the background
