I wanted and alternative to the Starmaker karaoke app since I want to be able to hear myself more clearly but ngl this app was a bust. Apparently if I want to record myself I have to have some sort of microphone or karaoke machine? While they’ve periodically added new songs to the library over the years, the recent additions have been done by the same atrocious singer “Jae Kim (Cover by ASSA) butchering all of the songs with off-key singing, heavy accent, and “drunk country” twang. Worse, there is no way to contact MagicSing to get this to stop. The App Support link doesn’t go anywhere, there’s no email or website to actually visit for help. The website won’t let me put in my voucher, I spent $80 dollars on it so that I could get the full year access to it but what’s the point if I can’t even use it. I have had my karaoke machine for over 3 years now and I have been subscribed for 2+ years now for the full music experience, but it still times out when we try to use our karaoke machine. A window pops up and says, “Server Timed Out” or “Error”. New songs are hard to find as new, because the old “new” songs are still labeled as new even after a song list update. I have to keep reconnecting my phone app to the karaoke machine a few times before it actually stays connected. BUT, after I installed it, sadly, I was no longer able to access my microphone - even from most of my other apps, which was quite disturbing, frustrating, not to mention - disheartening, disappointing. I even spent all morning today, 12/24/23, and into the afternoon, doing several total reinstalls of my iPhone trying to get my microphone back, to no avail. This is unacceptable, especially when it cost $38.51 for an dumb app that broke my phone!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! The song library is vast and diverse, covering genres from pop to rock, country to K-pop, and everything in between; lots of LSS and Birit songs😊. The search and selection process is user-friendly, and the sound quality is top-notch, making you feel like you're on stage at a concert. It’s great for anyone who loves music, whether you're a seasoned performer or just looking to have some fun. Now it just got even better with the E5 version and the Magic Sing app, we all have a blast anywhere, anytime! I even bought the Magic Sing standalone microphone which converts to a karaoke carpool with my friends😄 We sing a lot of Chinese songs so this app is a big hit!👍 The only thing I dislike is the “code” I use for the unlimited songs is only good for up to three devices only, and I have more than 3 devices that I use! A lot of Chinese songs that we wanted to sing are not on the list yet, they’re not found when we try to look for them in the search bar. Anyway, I still love this app and highly recommend it to all of my friends.
