I set up a schedule to turn the smart plug on and off at a specific time every morning. The times come and go, and the smartplug does nothing. The manual operation has generally worked fine with a couple issues connecting to the server. I recently setup a time schedule to turn a lamp on & off morning and evening. The app gives no ability to set or see the "actual" current time your plug is on. I setup my plug to US/Detroit for Eastern time zone. I noticed tonight it's about 40 minutes early turning off. For some purposes that is not nearly accurate enough, and there is no indication in the manual what to do to improve this time inaccuracy. I can understand the plug's clock differing by up to a couple minutes from actual, but 40 minutes fast??? I would think the server should provide periodic time updates to the plug to keep it accurate. I was hoping this would adjust automatically spring and fall for DST, but it currently can't even correctly keep to the current time. Update: Still the same issues with time schedules. Would like to see this product be compatible with Amazon Alexa for voice control. ### 3/5 — Scheduling doesn't work anymore. *2016-10-04, version 1.2.7* The plug is fine. The app worked well to control them. But since the last update, the scheduling doesn't work any longer. I know because I have a Maginon camera watching the house. Now I am getting ready to go away for 6 weeks and the plug schedulers do not work. You can turn them on and off manually so I guess I will have to do that until the problem is fixed. I guess I should have known better than to buy something like this from ALDI. You gotta get it together here: it's not okay for my sockets to just turn on/off randomly. None of them have schedules and all of them randomly turn on/off from time to time. I have had schedules on them in the past; maybe those are somehow stuck in the controlling server. Or maybe someone has hacked into my plugs. Maybe if I reinitialize them this will stop (not if they're hacked though) but of course I shouldn't have to do that. ### 1/5 — Scheduler Simply Doesn't Work *2016-07-14, version 1.2.7* The app works fine for turning the switch on and off, but the scheduler feature just does not work at all. ### 3/5 — Time is off and not able to be set... *2016-07-12, version 1.2.7* The app is easy enough to use and switching on and off manually works great. But the two plugs I have are both gain at least five minutes a day, every day, making them pretty useless for automatically turning things on and off. The turn-off setting ranges from 5 to 45 minutes too early than what was set.
