So far I am impressed but not sure how long the bench marks and protocol will remain in place. It is important that the framework remain through, with and encompassing Catholic resources only. I fear the days may be limited when the Ai used will decide on its only what is Catholic and what is not allowing for slippery slopes when it comes to doctrine but for now, it is doing an amazing job as I have branched out into facets of the Faith I am not so well versed in. Não fica o Católico sem resposta aos anseios de sua Fé! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — What a scam *2026-07-03, version 1.3.0* this is a predatory app that scams Catholics, do not pay for it. ### 1/5 — Not worth it, go somewhere else (for AI) *2026-04-21* It is really only worth it if you utilize things like prayers or other resources that you can find elsewhere. If you wish to just personalize prayers/massals, etc or want to learn prayers in other languages and have everything in order, this app is undeniably good for that. However it falls completely short of giving full-context Catholic answers and citations. It will give you citations but won’t be very proper about it. If you want to use it for criticism for Catholic writing and stuff, good luck. You will apparently never make anything good enough-it is terribly overly critical. If you wish to use it for catechism citations just use the “Catholic chat” site which makes it way easier to understand depending on your level. It’s a free site so I have no reason to have a bias. Another thing is it isn’t even primarily for Catholics, you could literally be a Protestant/orthodox so it just brands itself while using another AI model…yea really not worth it. ### 1/5 — 10 weekly messages. It’s not suitable for those who hold to the full weight of Tradition, the pre-Vatican II Magisterium, or the historic catechisms. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! In fact, we have just rolled out some improvements on being able to query older documents when specifically asked, for example, "what did the Catholic Church think of capital punishment before Vatican II" should get far more references from the period specified. We'd welcome your feedback as we continue to improve the system! ### 3/5 — Text to speech issue *2026-05-25* Audio stopped at 5:21 while listening to Pope Leo XIV’s first encyclical, and after restarting the app I couldn’t find my place again because of glitches. It would really help to add a text search feature so users can search phrases like “church and state” and continue where they left off. I’ve used Magisterium AI free for weeks without issues, but today after paying $3.99 for premium so I could listen instead of read, these problems started. I can’t see myself paying next month if the audio keeps glitching. ChatGPT can do better, I’m sorry to say. ### 3/5 — Not impressed *2026-03-18* This AI doesn’t know how to “think.” It’s not for the thinking Catholic. Every time you try and dive deeper on a topic the app just straw mans you and shoves the “correct” answer in your face. The demythologized interpretation of Genesis 6, for example. Very useful for sorting through my religious trauma! 4 stars however, because while trying to type the screen flickers than starts jumping back to old messages & when I scroll down it just jumps back to old messages again then the screen bugs out. Once I close app & reopen its fine but its a bit annoying bc it keeps happening 2 mins into using it. Ive tried text settings on my phone itself, lowering them but that didnt do anything. I tried other settings but no fruit came. (I have a iPhone 16 pro & my software is fully updated if wondering) If possible please look into this bug! Also please add the ability to edit your text & the ability to “reroll” the ai’s response!!
