## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — 30 second trial before you have to pay.

*2026-09-22*

Only 30 second trial to try the app - not even long enough to figure out how the app works or how well, before you have to pay $18. No thanks.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. Magnetic Detector has a 4.7 average rating, ranks highly for relevant search terms, and has received strong reviews from users.
The 30-second trial is intended to give you a quick opportunity to see how the detector responds and how the app works. Developing and refining the app has taken well over 1,000 hours, including several additional features beyond the main detector.
For users who want more time to explore everything, there is an entry subscription option starting at $4.99.
We believe this offers a fair balance between letting users try the app and supporting its continued development.
Best regards.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work.

*2025-07-22*

I paid for the app and still get ads. I paid for a non working up where the reading is all over the place.

**Developer response:** If you purchased the ad-free upgrade and still see ads, please try Restore Purchases in the app (and make sure you’re using the same Apple ID used to buy it). You should had contacted me directly.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-12-15, version 4.3*

Too many ads!!

### 1/5 — Bad units

*2024-11-15, version 4.3*

Units are completely wrong, not should probably be uT. Get physics tool box instead

*2024-10-20, version 4.3*

所以綜合以上所述，希望他可以再改進一點改成中文介面，然後不要有這麼多的圖片，這樣可能會比較好操作另外，也希望可以再加一個就是能跟鬼互相溝通的按鈕，就像是跟鬼交朋友一樣。

Looking for nails in a wall and magnetic hotspots that can give you a headache, this app looks for those things. I also found that it finds magnetic anomalies. I found one of these at work when I was looking for bugs and instead found a bizarre reading in the middle of our works canteen. Nobody knows what it is. Still, this app found it.
