### 1/5 — It doesn't work???

*2019-09-12, version 1.0.15*

Is it supposed to work still?

### 1/5 — Never Has Worked

*2019-08-27, version 1.0.15*

The only review was a year ago and nothing has changed for over a year. This app is worthless unless drastic changes occur.

### 1/5 — Does not recognise art

*2019-08-25, version 1.0.15*

Only recognised 2 out of 10 artworks.

### 1/5 — Cannot create an account using Facebook

*2019-08-22, version 1.0.15*

Login Failed: You can't use Facebook to log into this app or website because there's an issue with its implementation of Facebook Login.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2019-08-18, version 1.0.15*

It cannot recognize anything even painting with the signature.

### 1/5 — Five star reviews are all fake.

*2019-08-15, version 1.0.15*

This is a waste of time. I think the “experts” are just stock photos. Even uploaded famous pieces directly from the museum and never get a positive ID and never get a response. You can wait until you die for “manual matching”
This app is a joke and the investors are getting screwed

### 1/5 — Exclusive

*2019-07-31, version 1.0.15*

They are pushing for transparency. But the art market doesn’t just exist in 5, 10 or 15 cities. When you make it more personal to people in the Midwest, let me know.

### 1/5 — Crickets

*2019-06-24, version 1.0.15*

I uploaded artwork we found at my grandmothers house, no match, waiting to identify, for MONTHS, I email, asking for an answer, CRICKETS. If I could give it no stars I would.

### 1/5 — The app is not working

*2019-06-15, version 1.0.15*

I used the app since it released it was good application with the ability to auto recognize the paintings.

After while the app stop recognizing the painting and ask me to feed the painting information manually.

After that the app assigned a specialist to recognize the painting and its not working I tried that for about a year many times and there is no response.

The application concept is amazing. Sadly its not working.

### 2/5 — Useful... ‘when’ it recognises a photo

*2019-04-22, version 1.0.15*

I have used this app a few times to help my academic life however I would say that 70% of the time the app never recognises the artworks. After this also when referred to an art historian... I would have to wait 15 minutes or more to be finally given NO RESULTS and a run down timer with no notifications concerning updates. I have therefore given up on using this app if it doesn’t recognise the art straight away. Don’t waste your time on it like I did!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work.

*2019-02-24, version 1.0.14*

Great concept and terrible execution. The app does not work. The “art historians” that allegedly review the work don’t respond after waiting various lengths is time, often over 10 minutes. I’ve tried it multiple times and ensured my phone does not time out. There is also no response after uploading photos of paintings that are to be received. I’d like the hour back if my life that I’ve collectively spent trying to get this app to work.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-02-16, version 1.0.14*

...

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2019-02-10, version 1.0.14*

This app was a big let down. Submitted four pics for review and no response to any of them. One piece of art was by a famous artist Salvador Dali, no information has been given to me even after 24 hours. I would not recommend this to anyone as I believe it is a farse.

### 3/5 — Just okay

*2019-01-16, version 1.0.14*

I can’t change the location from New York to the state I live in. I tested it by putting in some of the classic famous art pieces and it didn’t recognize them. However, It did identify a vintage print that I have and that is what I originally downloaded it for so I gave 3 stars. My opinion is that it’s really a 2 star app.

### 1/5 — Oh for a functional ap!

*2019-01-10, version 1.0.14*

I first attempted to identify two obscure prints in my collection. When that didn’t work I attempted to use the ap to identify a well known print by Junichiro Sekino(a portrait of Miyazawa Kenji) which the ap was also unable to identify. The ap is a complete bust and a waste of time.

### 1/5 — App could be great but

*2018-12-29, version 1.0.14*

If app would allow you to enter details about images maybe it would be useful. Maybe open up to actual art experts so there would be more chances of identifying art. we scanned well know artist works such as Dali Picasso, Van Gogh, Matisse and it couldn’t identify i single piece and Google
as bad as it is picks up known artist and works no problem so not sure what the developers were going for here...

### 1/5 — Lame.

*2018-12-14, version 1.0.14*

All they ask about an artwork, is price and availability.. I guess the artists’ name is not important :eye roll:. Leo DiCaprio investing doesn’t mean anything to the users, are unable to use the app. This app isn’t worth the space it’s taking up on my phone. *deleted

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2018-11-22, version 1.0.14*

Unable to type Artist’s name or any info to assist them with search.

### 1/5 — Great data but sad app

*2018-11-16, version 1.0.13*

Love the idea and could be powerful but the software is very poorly designed and very awkward. Near useless except maybe in a few narrow markets. Needs software people.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Fake

*2026-06-17, version 2.0.3*

It's a scam. Dont come near

### 1/5 — Doesn’t really work

*2026-05-26, version 2.0.2*

Not able to do what it claims

### 1/5 — Cool idea, can’t log into app or make new account

*2020-08-19, version 1.0.15*

App doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Does not work frustrating

*2020-02-21, version 1.0.15*

Waited the 20 mins per art I sent no response lol wow is this a data stealing app! It sure wanted my email.

### 1/5 — Leo D may want his invested dollars back

*2020-02-14, version 1.0.15*

Well, just download this app and I have not received any feedback at all. I understand some art pieces may be difficult to identify but I sent a known pic to it and nothing. I’m sure the intent is there but for now, they should improve it and launch when it’s fully functional. If Leonardo DiCaprio has invested in it as they say, he may want to get his money back. Call me when you have this up and running; I’m sure it will be a hit when it’s at 100%.

### 1/5 — No Support for App

*2019-11-14, version 1.0.15*

Great idea...but it seems app is Out of Order!!!!

### 1/5 — Unfinished business

*2019-10-03, version 1.0.15*

This app has a button that implies you can use it without creating an account. But if you tap it, it says:
“Authentication Failed. Please try again”

### 1/5 — This doest’t work at all

*2019-09-21, version 1.0.15*

I had high hopes for this app, but it doesn’t work. I tried it on three pieces that i own. All three pieces came back unrecognized. I received a message that someone will revieew the pieces manually, but one week later, no update.

The worst part is that google lens recognized all three pieces instantly.

### 1/5 — Recognised nothing

*2019-09-15, version 1.0.15*

Introduction does not say that it has limited cities. More importantly tried this on 4 paintings - all with artists signature and not one recognised. Not a great start. Needs much more work done

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time with this app

*2019-09-14, version 1.0.15*

Doesn’t recognize anything
Saying this is Shazam of art is insult to Shazam

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This app is A1 ( this is a real review!)

*2019-06-08, version 1.0.15*

I downloaded this app about a year ago and if I reviewed it then it would of got a 1 Star too. But come to find out I was just looking for art in the wrong place. As in any collectors world you have to dig and dig to find the good stuff. & I have made 10s of thousands of dollars just using this app. 5 star hands down

### 5/5 — Art Museum App

*2018-10-17, version 1.0.13*

Almost identical to My MOCA app but his one has useful links to galleries with a history of sales and realistic prices. Great for touring NYC.

### 5/5 — Wonderful app. Love the map

*2018-07-18, version 1.0.12*

Great app.

### 5/5 — Great app. Map is the best

*2018-05-05, version 1.0.12*

Great app. Works well at fairs. Best is the map that shows all galleries and museums including opening hours

### 5/5 — In Shock!

*2018-04-28, version 1.0.11*

After a mid morning soirée I ended up perusing my local bric-à-brac shops around my beloved South East london village. I was buried deep within the racks of one charming mahogany shelf, which I think was a Louis V II (orig.) and in every way fabulous. Anyway I digress. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a little blonde boy grasping a pipe and knew I just had to have him! I immediately bellowed the shop keep (who was an absolute darling) to come over and dust me off after getting my new mink rather dirty, dry cleaners for her tomorrow I think. Anyway I digress. I ran over to rack where my little blonde boy sat, perched on a stool, encased within glass yet surrounded by a lacklustre frame (undercover one thinks.) I had to purchase this. After much haggling and back and forth like a Wimbledon Rally (which I rather enjoy) the shop keep let him go for twenty of the old ladies papers (£20.) I fought through my jubilation and hurried home back to my beloved Mews. Upon returning to the safety of my town house I HAD to know who had painted this delightful joy. I scoured the internet and lo and behold here it was! An application that could scan priceless art and tell me EVERYTHING. I held the little blonde boy up, snapped him and waited for the answer. VOILA! Could this be true? Is this happening. A Jean-François Millet original. Worth 3.1’mil at auction. I sent Pepe down to the cellar to fetch the best bottle of tinto a man could buy. We popped the red open and painted the evening rouge. Thanks to Magnus I can now spend a my days perusing and meandering for collectibles.

### 5/5 — Brilliant.

*2017-10-25, version 1.0.11*

I can’t quite believe how good this app is, and it’s free (at the moment). I uploaded a photo of a painting several days ago which the app or the person behind the app couldn’t match in 10 minutes. Then today, hey presto it notified me that it’s been matched! As a result I’ve been able to find a fine art printer online and order myself a print. There aren’t even any nasty ads or pop-ups (yet). Long may it remain so.

### 5/5 — Best app!

*2017-03-28, version 1.0.9*

Learnt so much from using Magnus. Amazed by all the inventory, really changes the viewing experience!

### 5/5 — Very good

*2016-07-01*

I can find painitings and perfect artistic masterpiece with this application and can buy it. I see the art in for the art lovers. I really like this app.

### 5/5 — Great

*2016-06-18, version 1.0.4*

Great app, recognises work just like Shazam. Really good fun and interesting info too about the artists.
