### 4/5 — Indispensable app, except for one thing

*2023-12-27, version 3.0.0*

For the LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, PLEASE add a method of scrolling items without having to go back to the library, scroll, tap, repeat.

I cannot even begin to understate how annoying this menu flow is.

### 4/5 — Ah! Just what I was looking for BUT

*2023-06-11, version 2.0.1*

I would really, really prefer this app in landscape mode as I use my iPad as such while I run games. I find the portrait-only style limiting enough to dock a star.

Other than this, the app (especially the free version) is exactly what I need for items on the fly.

Landscape mode! Please!

### 4/5 — No back button

*2021-09-15, version 2.0.1*

I enjoy the app and the item therein. However, when viewing an item, there is no back button to get back out to the list. You have to go back out to the master lists, and then click on the sub list, then on the item you want to look at. And then instead of just hitting the back button, you have do to all of that all over again. Please add a back button!

### 4/5 — Love this app but

*2021-06-01, version 2.0.1*

Great app I use it to save my ideas for magical and mundane weapons and items for games. But I do wish it had a common selection for rarity.

### 5/5 — For those inclined, a very fun app.

*2021-01-25, version 2.0.1*

A really cool set of parameters to work with! The art is charming and the new art packs are suited well to flavor any themes one might be working with. I do really like that one can import their own artwork though! This app works great for creative folks who enjoy tinkering!

### 5/5 — Date sfogo alla fantasia

*2020-12-19, version 2.0.1*

### 4/5 — Hello Developers...

*2020-11-24, version 2.0.1*

I absolutely love this app, I’ve had it almost since it was released and I purchased all of your expansions. I used it to create all sorts of magic items and lore, but I put It down for a while and was exited to revisit it and to finally use all the stuff I made, but because of the new update, all my magic items I’ve made and saved are gone. I know you can’t just revive all my magic items, but I still plan on using this app, so in the future, when updates arrive, it would be very helpful to keep all saved items.

### 5/5 — A small issue

*2020-11-23, version 2.0.1*

I’m having difficulty downloading the image packs with the latest update; this app is incredible, but I feel a bit cheated for spending that much money on something I’m unable to use. I’ll gladly rate this 5 stars and recommend it to any and everyone if/when this problem is fixed

Edit: Thanks so much for your help; everything is perfect now! An easy 5 stars for service and quality!

### 4/5 — I love this app

*2020-11-20*

I love everything included in this app, only downside to not getting a 5 star is I can’t open it on my computer, more can I copy and paste text into world anvil or my players character sheets

### 5/5 — Amazing and Helpful App!

*2020-11-02, version 2.0.1*

This app provides services, that help with the creation process of a magic item. Instead of having to write it down in a document, or use a piece of paper, you can easily keep, and store your ideas in this app. The app also houses images that on occasion I use for creative inspiration. With such a large library of images, I feel like if I ever needed a new magic item, I would be able to make one stress free.

There was recently a bug in the app that did not let iOS users to download expansion images. I left a concerned review, hoping that maybe they would fix the issue in the future. The next day they had fixed the app, and left a comment on my review letting me know. 10/10

### 4/5 — Help

*2020-11-02, version 2.0.1*

I love the app helps me make homebrew items but I can’t seem to download the images from the app

### 3/5 — Just make your own

*2020-10-31, version 2.0.0*

Meh. It’s okay.. the items are absurdly overpowered though and the effects that go along side of them are usually really bland? Like who wants a +3 wand that just casts the light cantrip. (Aside form it being an insanely OP +3 weapon)

Just about everything in there just gives +3 to AC or attack rolls, with usually a pretty lame side effect.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Items won't download

*2024-04-23, version 3.0.0*

I loved this app back when I could just one-time purchase things, but now that the world is going to subscription based purchases, so too did this app. Now I have to pay a monthly subscription for artwork that half the time won't even download. Sorry, but this proves that even when you have something great, all it takes is a subscription to ruin it for all.

### 1/5 — Dozens of hours wasted

*2020-11-02, version 2.0.1*

As I wake to prepare for my campaign’s session today, I open my app to share a few previously created items to the platform that is used to play. However, all my purchased materials will not download, nor do I have access to the nearly one hundred created items that I had previously saved. This should have been ironed out before going live with an update.

### 1/5 — Update removed my items

*2020-11-01, version 2.0.0*

I owned every expansion on this app and then they updated, now I can’t create any item other than the basic ones. It recognizes that I purchased the expansions but won’t let me download the features or images.

### 1/5 — GreatApp But....

*2020-10-28, version 2.0.0*

Since the latest updated I am unable to access any of my previous purchases. The option to download them is there but every time I press the download button I’m returned to the top of the page with the download box reappearing. This makes the app completely unusable. I paid good money for content I can no longer access

### 2/5 — App is not allowing me to download my purchases

*2020-10-28, version 2.0.0*

Hi, this App is pretty awesome, except, it is not downloading the images/items on the purchase list after I bought them. I only purchased one “The Shadow Index” and was planning on buying the “The Master Collection” but I won’t spend money when I don’t get anything in return.

I keep getting a “download required” but nothing is downloading after clicking it, restarting the app, restoring purchases, or doing everything all over again. This app is a 5 star app, but I’m leaving a 2 star review until this is fixed. The free part is awesome, which is why it’s disappointing that the purchased items aren’t showing up.

### 3/5 — An excellent resource, but...

*2025-04-29, version 3.0.0*

Recently been having issues with subscription information simply going missing in the app. One day, my subscription is fine, and I can make items as much as I want. The next, the app has no idea what subscription I'm talking about, and refuses to let me even edit my saved items that used subscription images. And then it returns to normal. Very frustrating, especially when trying to come up with ideas on the spot during games, but overall a very good app.

### 3/5 — I love the app, except it doesn’t give you what you pay for

*2024-09-20, version 3.0.0*

I subscribed and it refuses to download the images and data for 16 different packs

### 3/5 — Good first swipe.

*2023-04-04, version 2.0.1*

I like this app. I think the art and items are unique and fun to work with. I use it. I like it. My hope is that the designers will update and fix some user interface issues around adding a back button to easily switch between different items or go back to the main list from an item. They can streamline purchasing new packs as well. Overall, good app to use in your DM tool kit.

### 3/5 — Beautiful art, poor implementation

*2022-06-03, version 2.0.1*

Is it really so hard to allow you to click on a picture to bring up the description? As it is all you get is pretty pictures with nothing that I can find to take you to the description…

### 3/5 — Mediocre at best

*2022-01-13, version 2.0.1*

Gives a small list of random gen presets. Pretty sad how low effort this is

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Stellar app

*2025-12-13, version 3.0.0*

As a free app, it offered everything i needed to create magic items for my players, but i was loving the art style and wound up getting the extra packs. This is one of my go-to’s for on the fly item creation. And my players enjoy the results 10/10

### 5/5 — Good app, one bug is annoying

*2024-12-19, version 3.0.0*

If you have a un-named magic item group you are unable to delete or edit it in anyway. Any fixes for this? It doesn’t break anything but is annoying to look at and Just makes navigating the menu clunkier

### 5/5 — Good

*2024-10-23, version 3.0.0*

Good

### 5/5 — Great Repository for New and Experienced DMs

*2022-07-03, version 2.0.1*

Don’t like having to dig through various books for magic items? Don’t like having to create magic items from scratch and keep them stored on paper or in random folders? This app is perfect for getting quick and unique magic items on the fly as well as pre-planning magic items and even creating your own. Seriously can’t recommend this enough. Edit: issue currently with the new pack release that has two eagle helms at the top of all of my item groups, hope to see it fixed soon and hopefully corresponding NPCs in the NPC for hire app :-)

### 5/5 — ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL

*2022-05-28, version 2.0.1*

I don’t know (as a DM) what I would do with out this app. Even the mundane magical items it creates my players absolutely love and find very interesting ways to use. I recommend this app to everyone I know who loves DND and I hope they come out with more additional stuff soon!

### 5/5 — Good app, one bug is annoying

*2022-03-29, version 2.0.1*

If you have a un-named magic item group you are unable to delete or edit it in anyway. Any fixes for this? It doesn’t break anything but is annoying to look at and Just makes navigating the menu clunkier

### 5/5 — Beautiful

*2022-03-12, version 2.0.1*

I can’t say enough about this app it is truly amazing. Randomly generated items with pictures histories and capabilities especially if you spring to get the perks this ad really is amazing

### 5/5 — Best used as a magic item maker

*2022-01-05, version 2.0.1*

Although not perfect, it’s everything I could have asked for in a free app. It has a collection of magic items to get you started, but I find that the true value is in making your own magic items. It gives you a verity of text boxes clearly labeled with the item’s name, the rarity, the description (a place for flavor text), mechanics, and requirements (for example, if the item requires attainment). And if that wasn’t enough it also lets you sort them neatly into separate groups.

And if that wasn’t enough, it also has a verity of nice pictures to help you craft your own items (with many art packs for sale to give you more pictures). But if you’re broke like me then they also have the option to add your own picture. But if you use this app as much as I do to help make store all the homebrew magic items then I encourage you to do right by the devs and buy an art pack or two to help support their work.

### 5/5 — I love it!!!

*2021-11-11, version 2.0.1*

I love it. I’ve also love the NPC compendium. You could do something like this but with beasts/creatures or something. But you guys are doing great. Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Molto bella

*2021-05-26, version 2.0.1*

Molto ben fatta, ampiamente sfruttabile anche in versione free, oggetti piuttosto bilanciati
