## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.12 — 2026-10-08

Mahaleh now has a home for twelve more cities — Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, Victoria, Kitchener–Waterloo, London, Hamilton, Windsor, Kingston, Saskatoon, Regina and St. John's — plus Calgary, with Iranian businesses in each. City names and dates now read naturally in Persian. New in Hidden Gems: 45 more jokes and 12 regional recipes, from Isfahan's beryani to Kurdish shalkineh.

### 1.0.11 — 2026-09-25

Fixes the back button: leaving Settings, Saved or any other screen now returns you to the tab you were on instead of jumping back to Home. Signing in no longer changes the language you picked on this device. And English or French text inside the Persian layout now reads correctly, with the punctuation in the right place.

Also new since 1.0.9: Fal-e Hafez — hold a question in your heart, open the Divan, and read the ghazal that answers, with its meaning. Shared poems and stories now open straight in the app. Fixes a blank name showing in Messages for some members.

### 1.0.9 — 2026-09-21

Two new Hidden Gems: Persian Poetry — Hafez, Saadi, Khayyam, Rumi, Ferdowsi and more, each poem in the original Persian with English and French translations — and Short Stories, folk tales from every corner of Iran. Like and save your favourites. Hidden Gems now has its own button on Home.

### 1.0.8 — 2026-09-16

The people map now works by check-in: tap Check in on the map to show an approximate area (city or neighbourhood) for 4 hours, then your pin disappears on its own. Leave the map anytime. Never your exact location.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-12

A richer Community feed: upcoming events, special offers and new businesses now appear between posts, with Trending near you and Suggested for you. Marketplace gets Hot Deals and a shops rail. Farsi search now matches Persian names. Faster onboarding, a cleaner three-dot menu on posts, and small fixes.
