## What is Mahjong Coach?

Learn American mahjong, the real game your friends play, not the
tile-matching one on a computer.

This is the National Mah Jongg League version: four players, 152 tiles,
and a printed card of the only hands that count. If you have been shown
the game once and still feel lost, start here.

LEARN IT
• How to Play — the whole rulebook in sixteen screens you tap through
• Tiles & Terms — nine quiz levels covering every tile, group and joker rule
• A tutorial hand played one decision at a time, with the reasoning shown

PRACTICE IT
• Five drills, each on one skill: choosing a hand off the deal, your first
discard, spotting an illegal hand, reading the table, playing defense
• Full games against three opponents — Charleston, calling, exposures and all
• Coached mode rates every tile in your rack and shows the hand you are
closest to. On Your Own gives you the card and nothing else, the way it is
  at a real table.

PLAY IT FOR REAL
• A scorepad for game night — enter names, record each hand, and the payments
work themselves out. Undo anything, because somebody always misremembers
  who threw it.

YOUR CARD
The League's card is copyrighted, so this app ships with its own — the
Practice Card — and you can learn the whole game without owning anything.
If you have this year's card, add it once, one tap per tile, and every drill
and every opponent plays from the card you actually use.

WHAT IT COSTS
How to Play, Tiles & Terms, the tutorial hand, the scorekeeper and adding
your card are free forever. One purchase unlocks the five drills and
unlimited games. Bought once, not rented — no subscription, no adverts,
nothing that expires.

Everything stays on your device. No account, no sign-up, and nothing is
collected about you.
