I love the tiles and the mini puzzles when you play in classic mode, and the different tile sets and layouts. I also love that there’s no ads, no in-app purchases or subscriptions. I can play this game offline too. My only quibble is that the game looks kind of stretched and funny on my iPhone 11 Pro, which makes it a little hard to play. I’d bump this review up to five stars if the developer could fix that. One in-app purchase I’d like to see is the ability to tip the developer as an additional thank you for such a great game. ### 5/5 — Venice mystery *2019-06-02, version 1.7.2* Great fun game. But I started getting game ads between levels, all the time and it’s annoying!!!! I paid for my first game years ago, I think, and I hate ads every time I move forward! I admit I haven’t ventured into hard games at all and medium very seldom. I find the easy games difficult enough, especially with the time constraint. I am not complaining as this is my problem but I do wish you had a no time version only as I have Parkinsons and therefore a tremor which when stressed exacerbates:). Now understand I wish it for ease of playing and enjoyments’ sake only. I do not expect nor ask for it. The game is great. I find it fun, challenging, unique and imaginative. The tiles are attractive and easy to see. I love the idea behind finding all the specific tiles within the time required,(though see above note; notwithstanding). Nonetheless, nice job guys. It’s easy to play, visually appealing, and I can play when I have a few moments here and there. But if you do not want any ads, as I do not, then do not purchase this game. Why, on a game that I paid for, is there an advertisement on the “continue” screen linking to another game from this developer?!?! It’s easy to miss the continue button and hit the ad instead, which takes you to the App Store. This issue needs to be fixed. The original re-arranged the tiles once a puzzle was finished. In the new version the tiles remain the same every time you re-do a particular puzzle. Maybe you did only play the QuickPlay - which has only a few levels. I have played the game, have been able to get the scrolls, but I am having trouble getting the gears to go together. A few of them I have gotten the gear fixed and I have no idea how I was able to get them in correct order. I can’t play the game until I get all thirteen of the gears put together correctly. The game play is smooth, very good. But you finish the classic levels find all the parts and the game crashes. You do not get even a bland congratulations screen. It did this on my iMac and it still does it now. And now that I’ve finished all the levels, here is a more complete review. The game is gorgeous. Even the classic levels, and the new tile sets are eye popping. Some of them make quick play very hard. The classic levels are the most fun since they offer some mini-games interspersed between the regular matching levels. The picture puzzles get quite hard by the end. You can set the game to be as hard or as easy as you like, it offers a timed and an untimed mode and four levels of difficulty. But. . . As mentioned before, the game crashes at the end of the classic levels. It speaks well of the devs that they noticed the review and reached out for more information hoping to find a fix, but if they haven’t found one in ten years I don’t think they’re going to. It is apparently only a problem for a few people. The other major problem is mentioned in another review. The score of the last level in all tile sets doesn’t get counted. If you really obsess about scoring you’re going to be unhappy with this game. Nevertheless it’s a good game **Developer response:** Hello and thanks for your feedback. You know where the part is in the painting but it takes you numerous attempts to get it right even though you are in the correct place. My problem is the game doesn’t give me enough time to get 4 alike tiles. I get 2 tiles and I go to get the other2 tile and I can’t get. The time is too short For me to get to the other tiles. From the title screen choose MapPlay -> More Levels -> choose your LevelPack -> Untimed Relax Mode. When you do this - the game runs without the timer.
