I had no issues with the pre order, the download, and update. I play on a iPhone XR with the manual drift setting on and do just fine. My place for going hard on this game so far is on the pooper, at work during lunch?. My only con for this game is the daily cap but other then that great game. P.s Not a fake review. ### 5/5 — Great game needs some work! *2019-09-30, version 2.0* I love the game BUT I wish that in drift mode it didn’t start a drift as SOON as you touch the screen!! Please make it to where I’m drift mode we have to hold a certain amount or turn a certain angle before it just starts a random drift when all you wanted to do was adjust yourself a little bit on a straight away! Also, please make it to where tilt control can be used with wide screen. Besides that, AMAZING game love it! Little disappointed each race isn’t against real people in real time, however there are certain trials that are competitive against others for overall points so kudos to that! Nostalgia for the win! ### 5/5 — Best game ever! *2019-09-30, version 2.0* I love Mario kart it’s the best game out there and I had it on my Nintendo 3DS and I decided to sell it so I could get some money to get my phone fixed and then when I found out at the end of August that it was actually coming to iPhone I was so happy and plus they got way more tracks and way cooler graphics than what they have on the DS this is the best game ever thank you for bringing it to iPhone and I was counting it down and it’s finally here awesome! ### 5/5 — I’m impressed *2019-09-30, version 2.0* This game already amazes me how seemless the touch controls. I was really worried about the controls being clunky or hard to use, but it’s very intuitive. Having cosmetics is always a nice way for players and developers to both get what they want, and in my opinion should be utilized through this whole game! I hope to see new racers get added to the game in future updates. Please don’t go Pay to Play, nobody wants to do that! ### 5/5 — Multiplayer *2019-09-30, version 2.0* For everyone who is wondering how u can play with your friends, you can’t play with them yet. Nintendo is currently working on the multiplayer mode and will arrive in a future update alongside with some other features or improvements to the game. I’m enjoying this game a lot and I hope you guys could add some classic tracks to the game, it will be really fun racing in some classic maps, it will also bring a lot of memories. ### 5/5 — I love this game!!! *2019-09-30, version 2.0* This game is so much fun. I love how the cups change every two weeks!! I do have a few suggestions, first of all, we need friend online multiplayer, second of all, I would really like a timer for the races, I like knowing what my lap times are. And last of all. I want a time trial mode. Once you beat all of the content available for one day, there’s not much else to do, and a time trial mode would solve this. I have been waiting for this game and so excited to play but when i open the game and it gives me the option to click how to update and check store and the game is updated to the latest version and when i click how to update it says error and sends a code...i am so confused and i already tried both options and going to the website and nothing is working and i have wifi... ### 5/5 — Good but needs improving *2019-09-30, version 2.0* The game is great, it’s fun, and you can play it pretty much endlessly. The problem I see is some characters seems very overpowered and shockingly you pay to get them. You can do quests to get gems but very few and doubles appear very often on character pulls. I’m sure an update will take care of some issues hopefully. Controls are fine, tracks are very nice. The ranking could be better and I’m excited for the multiplayer. All in all it’s a great game, it just needs some tweaks. Also the xp right now is a completely broken system. ### 5/5 — The controls are upsetting *2019-09-30, version 2.0* I enjoy this game but the controls are sooo annoying, you have to have the drift setting on to get boosts or choose to have more control. The basic controls alone are hard to maneuver. I’ve turned on the tilt mode and it’s incredibly slow to react, maybe putting different buttons on the screen to activate drift while being able to steer normally without drifting the entire time. I would also enjoy if the game could be played horizontally. Again the game is very good but the controls really don’t make me want to play it. ### 5/5 — can’t collect coins but great game *2019-09-30, version 2.0* Honestly this game is the best. Definitely has potential to be the next big thing. However now after a couple races I can no longer collect coins. I can while racing but after they aren’t added to my bank. I expect this to just be a glitch and it’ll be fixed in no time. But it’s still frustrating when you can buy things in the shop for coins, but you aren’t collecting them. Hopefully this will clear up, until then I’m gonna keep racing. ### 5/5 — Controls are horrible and frustrating! ? ? *2019-09-30, version 2.0* There are two types of setups, one where you drift and another one lets you drive normally. But what if I wanted to do both whenever I wanted? The game only allows one or the other, so I have less control of the game. Would be nice if you created an on-screen interface where I could drive with one side of the screen and release items and drift on the other side. Maybe some controller support, at least? I’m still giving 3 stars because it’s one of the best games on the App Store, though it’s this one flaw that’s ruining my experience. I’d appreciate it if you could fix this problem, Thank You! ### 5/5 — Overall Amazing Game! *2019-09-30, version 2.0* I’ve been playing this game for *quite* a few hours and I honestly love it. The Mario Kart series has always been a favorite and I honestly didn’t like the idea of how the mobile game would turn out but it’s really nice. Courses are great and so are the controls! One issue is for me as a fan of the series overall is the lack of representation from games such as Mario Kart Wii. It would be nice to see something other than 2 karts from the game. Another issue I had was with the roster missing characters such as Luigi and Rosalina, yet having 4 Mario themed characters. Of course there is always a possibility they will be added in as spotlights but just a personal issue. Anyways to end that rant, this game is overall phenomenal and I would recommend 10/10! ### 5/5 — Love the game! *2019-09-30, version 2.0* Hi. I am absolutely loving this game. As someone who grew up playing mario mart (my mother had a super nintendo installed into her womb), this game was a very neat thing to see. It allows me to play the game on the go. I normally play on the wii, and somedays i will either a. Not have the time, or b. Just not feeling the wii that day. But the mobile app is such a huge job well done. There is only one issue that i have with the game and it is absolutely killing me. Want to hear it? It’s how the game is vertical. Im 90% sure everyone else writing reviews are talking about this, but still. If anything, you should have the option on whether or not you can have it horizontal or vertical. That is the only complaint. 1 request is that you bring back DK Summit from MKWII. I LOVE that track. 😃 ### 5/5 — Drifting *2019-09-30* When I started the game, I chose the simple driving technique because I didn’t want to drift every time I wanted to just turn, and when I turned, I started to drift, and I was about to go into the grass, so I slid my finger to the right to slow the drifting so I didn’t go into the grass, but it just gave me a drift boost, and I realized you can’t slow down your drifting, so what’s the point in even drifting? And when I just want to turn, I turned the vehicle to the left and it just automatically started drifting, so now when I want to turn I start drifting, and I can’t slow down my drifting so I just go into the grass, slowing me down, so I think you should make it to where if you’re turning, you don’t automatically drift, instead when you double tap on a side of the screen and you hold on the second tap, you start drifting, and if you slide your finger to the right, (The opposite if you’re drifting to the right) it will slow down your drifting, and if you’re and if you release you’re finger, you get the speed boost. ### 5/5 — Mario Kart Tour is Nintendo on mobile done right! *2019-09-30, version 2.0* As a hardcore Mario Kart fan, I had high expectations, and this mobile variant did not disappoint! This game is a great gateway to the series. You get to race on familiar classic courses from the console series, with their included track music. Immediately jump into competitive racing action with very few short tutorials in the beginning. The gameplay is modified for swipe and touch controls or you can enable gyro and races consist of 2 laps as opposed to the typical 3. The vast offerings of power-ups and the drift/power slide remain in this mobile form. Obtaining characters follows the typical Mobile free-to-start format, a banner will allow players to attempt to obtain a featured character via a randomized lottery mechanism. A Nintendo account is REQUIRED in order to play and the only advertisements encountered are for in-game purchases, no interruptive 3rd party Ads with a skip button. Multiplayer will arrive in a future update to allow us to play with our family and friends! Nintendo’s mobile offerings continue to improve! ### 5/5 — A truly fun game *2019-09-30, version 2.0* For a day one experience I personally do enjoy the game as it is at the moment. For my 6s, the game runs smoothly and I encounter very little to no lag while playing. The gameplay is a unique blend of the Mario Kart formula with a spin on it. The spin is the customizable karts and characters being locked by a pay wall. Now this would be a major problem if the majorly effected gameplay but at this current time it can make getting stars a bit easier. How it works is certain characters, karts, and gliders give certain boosts to your game. I have made it past the daisy cup and have collected all stars, meaning it is possible and not super challenging to obtain these stars. The “battle pass” is an ok addition which gives some extra content. For five dollars a month it is the only reasonable piece of in app purchase. However the gems are STUPID expensive. When you have to pay roughly 25 dollars for a multi you will not run into pay to win players at all due to these steep prices.
