My biggest frustration is that when I go out with a winning hand, the game claims it’s not and I lose 384 points. I’d love to send the screen captures to the developer for help but there is no way to contact them. It is traditional mahjong and not the mahjong solitaire/matching games more commonly found. Unfortunately, it won’t always center properly on my iPad and part of the tiles in my hand are not visible. I haven’t run in to this problem on my phone yet. Needs some improvements. Für Laien jedoch schwer da keine Spielbeschreibung dabei ist; würde es etwas einfacher zum erlernen machen. Muss ja nichts großes sein. Dazukommt, dass es seit kurzem STÄNDIG abstürzt. Besonders wenn man gerade mal ne gute Hand hat... super schade. Need a button to put my tiles in order. The app also crashed on my first solo game. It's great that it saved the game state, but when I resumed it crashed again in the same spot, so that game was ruined. Then I played my second game, and some timing with the pause button confused it and it got stuck (never continued no matter how many times I hit the pause/u pause button). The tiles thrown out to table need to be at a consistent place in the center - right now they are being thrown at all angles all over the center table, and I have to keep looking for its landing place so I can grab it. Hence I missed the chances of grabbing the tile for Pong MANY times. The thrown-out tile needs to stay on table LONGER (or letting user pause) so user can THINK before acting on the tile. This speed needs to be separate from other tile movements that are not relevant to user. **Developer response:** Sorry for the late reply, the titles are now better aligned when they are thrown out (there's a "align discarded tiles" setting that controls this). The speed control is now also separate. ### 3/5 — Great game if it stopped crashing *2018-08-19* There are so few apps for playing true mahjong, it’s unfortunate that this one is so buggy. It crashes randomly and when you restart your game is gone. And the resume button. Please fix this great ap...We can't get the group/ friend player to work properly and it does need a pause button if u accidentally hit the wrong button or forget to register a Kong. Now, especially the Hong Kong (Chinese) version. I loved this app because it actually lets me play as it is played at a table game. My only beef with this app is that it cuts itself off and doesn't save the game as it was being played. The "Resume Solo Game" function doesn't work AT ALL and I end up having to close all the way out of the app to play again (which resets the game). And usually, the same thing happens again several times before I just give up playing altogether. Fix that bug and this app is PERFECT! I want to teach my daughter how to play. When you invite another player and they accept the app just crashes! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Another problem and NO Customer Support *2023-06-02* Why does the game ask if you want to declare a winner when it deals you a tile you need? I say yes because sometimes it will then expose that 4 tile part of your hand - and other times it’ll say you lost over 300 points. How do you successfully claim a discard or keep the tile you’re given to add to your hand? The link to instructions is TERRIBLE and does NOT give you the basic instructions for playing the game; just pages and pages of scoring. When I tried to go to Customer Support, I got a page saying the URL doesn’t exist. There’s no way to get Customer Support. ### 1/5 — No winning hand bug *2022-06-20* Definitely NOT fixed ### 1/5 — Winning hand problem *2020-07-27, version 3.01* Twice today I had a winning hand (with hand level set to zero base points) and when I tried to claim the hand, it said no winning hand found and then penalized me the maximum points. I had my husband who definitely knows how to play mahjong look and make sure I didn’t make a mistake. I have the two captured screens if the developer wants to see and correct the issue. Not much fun when it keeps doing this to me. I was able to win some other hands. ### 1/5 — Fatal flaw! Wins not recognised! *2020-05-17, version 3.0* Downloaded last night and already found a flaw as a win that I declared was not recognised! I was instead penalised. This is ridiculous. Just won 5-6 hands, then lost -384 twice in a row. The computer never gets a lost hand. Played two games last night. Each game I was dealt the tile to complete my hand for Mahjong. I hit the palm, declared a win and the game says I lost -384 points. I stopped playing. It’s so frustrating. With the new updates I don’t experience the bug that other reviewers reported. I like the new option of automatically claiming the tile when the tile forms a set or winning hand. The reviews with complaints about having winning hands but not given credit is not true of this app. By going to settings and setting "base points to win" to 0 that will not happen. Until I better understand scoring of the various hands I will leave it set there. One review indicates that you can't steal but you can. The rule is that you can steal to form pongs from any player but you can only steal from the player on your left to form chows, except when declaring a win. My one suggestion for the developers is to give better instructions for using the app to help avoid the frustrations shown by some of the other reviewers. It is a complicated game and players really should do some searching online to better understand the game. Great app for learning the basics of the game. ### 5/5 — Fantastic *2011-04-30, version 1.70* I don't understand why this is getting crappy reviews. I think it's absolutely brilliant.
