He memorized the Noble Qur’an at the age of eight, and he belongs to a noble Quranic family. He is the son of a reciter, Siddiq Al-Minshawi, and the brother of a reciter, Muhammad Siddiq.
Mahmoud Siddiq Al-Minshawi was certified as a reciter on the radio in 1970 AD, and he recorded the Qur’an as a reciter. He has many recitations recorded on Egyptian radio and from the major mosques in Egypt. He also has a number of recordings in the countries he traveled to, including Kuwait, the Emirates, Yemen, Sudan, Iran, Malaysia and South Africa.
