## What is Mailbox Alert?

Mailbox Alert turns the Ring camera you already own into a smart mail sentry. When motion happens near your mailbox or front porch, our AI looks at a single snapshot and tells you exactly what happened - mail delivered, package dropped off, or someone at your mailbox - so you stop guessing and stop walking out to an empty box.

WHAT MAILBOX ALERT DOES
- Mail delivered: know the moment your carrier arrives
- Package drop-offs: see when a parcel lands on your porch
- Mailbox visits: get notified if someone opens your mailbox after the mail came
- Mail waiting: a simple flag per camera tells you if mail is still waiting or already collected
- Smart carrier recognition: USPS, UPS, FedEx, Amazon and more, recognized only by uniform or vehicle livery

HOW IT WORKS
1. Link your Ring account in about a minute
2. Choose the cameras that watch your mailbox or porch
3. Get an alert with a snapshot of what happened

PRIVACY FIRST
- Analysis is inference-only on single snapshots - continuous video is never stored
- No facial recognition, no license plate reading, no reading of names or addresses on mail
- Snapshots auto-delete after 90 days, or immediately when you unlink
- Your data is never sold or shared

WORKS WITH RING
Mailbox Alert connects through the official Ring integration. You need a Ring account and at least one Ring camera with a view of your mailbox, door, or porch.

Push notifications now work on iPhone. The app registers your device directly with Apple's notification service, so delivery alerts reach your phone.

Alerts tab: it now lists every delivery and mailbox visit, not just mailbox visits — a delivery no longer appears only under Activity.

Cameras: each one now shows when it last saw activity, and is named rather than shown as an ID.

Time zone: pick your own from the full list, or let the app detect it.
