Right now, if you search for a name or email, it shows you which group that name is located in but doesn’t give you the ability to go right to that name. You have to go into the group and scroll until you find it. You should be able to search within a group and it should take you right to the email you are looking for. At the VERY least, the names and emails should be organized alphabetically. They are just thrown in a group. ### 3/5 — Format doesn’t work. *2022-12-12, version 10.2* There’s no way to increase font size. I can’t format my email. ### 3/5 — Took two weeks for an email to go out to group *2020-12-23* The only reason I gave three stars is because this is the seemingly the only app to use with an iPad for email groups, which stinks that Apple won’t do better than that so you can make groups in your email and not have to use a third party app to do this. Which doesn’t work so well. Setting it up was easy enough, making groups and such. And maybe the first couple of emails I sent out to my group went out quickly, but now it takes two weeks, sometimes longer. I sent out an email that was urgent on Thanksgiving and it didn’t reach people until at least two weeks later. This is unacceptable as I paid for the Mail Shots Pro... **Developer response:** This issue is not from Mailshot, but comes from your email provider (who I can be pretty sure will be Gmail as they are the only provider who sometimes delay group email in this way, probably as an anti-spam measure). Please drop me a line from the support button in the app and I will be happy to explain the options available to avoid this. ### 5/5 — Easy to create and send to groups *2020-07-11* Apple Mail is terrible for sending emails to groups. I can’t figure out why they have never addressed this—I can’t be the only one to have struggled with this, until I discovered this app. Makes it easy to import contacts from my contact list and into a group. Such a time saver! Have not had any problems in the several months I’ve been using it. Ui is a bit strange but you get used to it. Easy to use, connected to my Contacts list, and it shows up in my regular email program “sent” box and improving all the time. The free app doesn’t allow enough group members for my needs so I upgraded to the Pro for a few dollars. I’ve since updated to Pro version. I like how a can duplicate or copy a group, check and uncheck and delete addressees within my group. Particularly I like taking two column of name and email in Numbers and pasting in Import into Mailshot, and immediately create a group. In Numbers I write a formulas that inserts a “<“ at the beginning of an email address and “>” at the end. With the contacts name in the first column and the addresses formula in the second column, I simply import and manually paste. This creates is one paste my whole list. Easy as pie. The formulas is created once and is copied down in Numbers. Sweet! **Developer response:** Thanks for your comments. Its great to hear how you are using the import facility, it can save a lot of time for some users. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — It does not work! *2024-02-05* Just purchased Mailshotpro for my iPad which is running iOS 17.2. I had watched a U-tube video and it appeared to do exactly what I wanted for sending group emails. But it does not work as it does not create a group contact in “Contacts”. Rather a waste of £3.99. SO BE WARNED.. ### 1/5 — Bad news *2017-01-03, version 5.3* Stay away from this one. When the app fails tech support will tell you the problem is not the app but is with your email provider. At first it seemed to work reasonably well, but it would appear that the more groups you have the less able it is to deal with them. Frequently, I have found that messages that I thought had been sent, have only gone out to half the intended recipients. Similarly, I have noticed that updates I now make to groups in the app are not reflected in the emails I subsequently send. A recipe for disaster. Trying to make groups on my Gmail from my computer was an absolute pain. Then recommended to wife to install it on her pad to manage golf women’s club members, since she wants the list readily available when she is at the club, the app was added to her iphone as well. We then noticed the lists between the two devices are not in sync. After emailing the support, Peter promptly provided suggestions for us to try, with Peter’s help, we eventually fixed the problem, now the two devices are perfectly in sync. It is a hit and miss to get good software support even for pricy ones. The app is simple and easy to use, for a price of a cup of coffee, you can’t go wrong! Suggestion for improvement- a simply duplication check will make it even a better app. **Developer response:** Thanks for your great comments. (Mailshot does spot duplicates if you try to add the same email address to a group more than once, and will also remove duplicates automatically when you use Multi mode to send to two groups at once. My larger Groups number up to 200 so involves working with a lot of addresses. I read this inexpensive app should really help and it did. The support was great.
