This taxi service sent the driver to the wrong address. Which caused a massive argument with all of my family and we all went home crying in an Uber. DO NOT USE THIS APP. ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2018-06-17, version 12.20.1* App hardly works, I cancelled a taxi once and I got a (rude) call saying I had done it multiple times which wasn’t the case. Most of the time they claim they’re not accepting bookings at this time which is a shame because I used to use them all the time due to their quick service, this just isn’t the case anymore. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work *2017-12-16, version 12.15* The app doesn’t work it just stays on the opening screen ### 2/5 — Needs a lot of work. *2017-06-26, version 12.10* Has the potential to be good - but isn't quite there yet. I've had issues using the app 2 out of the three times I've used it this week. ADVICE: Don't trust the pin dropping function (like you would with the UBER app), always write your pickup address in manually... it's proven to be useless for me if you don't and your cab gets cancelled (which has happened to me 2 out of the 3 times). Could be great with some development work to improve it but currently infuriating and time-wasting. I'll try again using manual pickup address entry, and I don't doubt it'll be better then... but I can't score higher than 2* until I see that. ### 2/5 — Rubbish, just use Uber. *2017-03-05, version 12.4* Request a taxi, voila! 4 minutes away. Then it 'arrives' nowhere to be seen. I phone and ask where they are and rudely told that apparently the taxi has arrived where I requested it (10 minutes walk away from my actual location). Absolutely useless. Just pay the surge and use Uber, at least their GPS can locate you accurately. I used it every time I needed a taxi and was an absolute life saver! But since the last update, it doesn't work at all! It won't book! Even after deleting and re installing, it won't work! Please update again! After deleting it and re-registering, been trying for an hour to get it to send a verification code by text to me. It won't even do that!! No indication that your taxi isn’t really booked, rather you join a queue for a taxi close to your booking time. Missed my train. Probably the worst part of this app is the lack of detail on arrival time or expected arrival time of a booked vehicle. ### 1/5 — The worst *2022-03-30, version 33.5.35* I don't recommend it to anyone, in case of emergencies it only delays your plans, they are not professional, I ended up being hampered on my first day of work and I planned the journey to work 1hr in advance and even then I arrived 20 minutes late, the app glitched I put my address and the app changed it to any other address and it doesn't give you the option to change or cancel, I called and just explained the problem the agent could have changed the address knowing I was going to work and the weather wait is high but no he canceled to make my life more difficult and I didn’t get a refund ### 1/5 — Keeps crashing even after updates *2021-12-03, version 33.5.12* This app still keeps crashing on me even after the latest update. So it’s useless. And I can’t even get through to them on the phone now. So much for being a regular customer for ten years. Used to use this company exclusively until Uber became more convenient, but used them recently since I saw the app was available. First problem - driver was not wearing a mask, which during a time of global pandemic is unacceptable. There is absolutely NO evidence that wearing a mask, even in people with asthma, causes harm over any duration of time. In addition to this, my driver was openly listening to InfoWars, a well known hard-right, right-wing, fake news propaganda site, whose pro-trump tripe was directly involved in provoking terrorist activity in the US Capitol. It is unspeakably offensive to me. If this is the type of person they have no qualms about employing and representing the company, and if this is the attitude towards passenger safety (re: mask wearing), then that speaks volumes about the organisation. I wanted to support a local company instead of using uber. I will not be making that mistake again ### 1/5 — Can not register *2019-05-11, version 32.0.2* Will not send sms validation code. Error messages are hidden behind pop ups. Arrived quickly and called me when it had arrived. Handy for sorting a taxi out ### 5/5 — It's a must have...!! *2014-01-08, version 10.12* Don't be caught with your pants down and get this downloaded..!! ### 3/5 — Its alright *2021-10-19, version 33.3.13* Iv never really had a problem when I’m able to get a taxi through the app , it’s usually quite quick but a feature NEEDS to be added for when there is no taxis available or the wait is quite long because it doesn’t tell you how long the wait is and as soon as you press request , there’s no going back until a taxi is found for you, no matter how long it takes as there is no cancel button until a car has been found so if it’s taking too long and you have to book with another taxi company , you have to sit there and wait after until a car has been found to cancel it which is really annoying! I have tried everything when this has happened like refreshing the app and even deleting it and reinstalling it and nothing cancels the request so this needs to be added! ### 3/5 — Generic Taxi App *2016-08-29, version 12.0* This is the generic tax (mini cab) app that about every UK private hire firm seems to have these days. It's branded with Mainline's logo and that is about it. The twitter link is broken, the About/Help link leads to a website last updated in 2013. The app only supports cash payments, despite claims to the contrary during registration. There is nothing innovative about this app to make it stand out. If all you need is an app to call a cab, wants to pay cash and Mainline Salford is your preferred cab company, then this app is for you. Like ALL other taxi apps, it will tell you who your cabbie is (name, vehicle reg, make, model, colour - of the cab!). That's sadly all there is to this app. ### 2/5 — Mainline app *2025-01-20, version 34.3.26* Been waiting 38minutes for taxi and cant cancel my ride vis the app it simple just continues to try find you a driver even when you no longer need one TERRIBLE design as i could be booking another taxi else where ### 2/5 — Frustrating *2018-07-10, version 12.20.1* Really frustrating app.... always says not able to take bookings right now.
