## What is Maisa?

The Maisa mobile app brings public social care and health care services directly to your phone. You can now manage your and your family's health care and social care anywhere, anytime. Exchange messages with your care team, access your medical and social care records, view your test results and manage your appointments.

The Maisa portal allows you to
• ask for advice or ask to be contacted
• review and supplement your social care and health care information
• view tests results
• book and cancel appointments
• fill in questionnaires prior to your appointment
• upload self-monitoring results from apps such as Apple Health
• connect with a provider through a video appointment
• arrive yourself for a scheduled appointment using the Appointment Arrival feature. Please note that with your permission this feature may use your device’s location in the background.

The Maisa application is available in Finnish, Swedish and English. Maisa is used in the services of HUS Helsinki University Hospital, the city of Helsinki and in the services of Vantaa and Kerava wellbeing services counties as well as Kauniainen (as part of the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county).

### 2/5 — Confusing and unreliable

The user interface is very unintuitive, the notifications I receive don’t lead to any actual event clearly and it is incredibly hard to find most things beyond appointment times. 

Also there seems to be a number of functional problems because anytime I try to fill out pre appointment information, it complains about server issues and tells me to try again later. Apparently need a crystal ball to know when to do that, since I’ve now tried for several days.

I’ve used a similar app platform with other health providers before, and never had half the issues I’m having with Maisa. It feels like a beta-test version still. Tbh, it’s a bit sketchy that all of our private data is in an app that’s this dysfunctional.

Ilahduin kovasti Maisa portaalista ja esim. mahdollisuudesta laittaa viesti terveydenhoidon asiantuntijoille. 

Eihän väline kuitenkaan auta mitään, jos ei sitä käytetä oikein. 
Laitoin viestiä asiasta, joka huoletti minua lääkärin tapaamisen jälkeen. Vastaus luvattiin 2-4 arkipäivän aikana. Vastaus tuli, siinä kerrottiin, että viestini oli välitetty lääkärille. Hyvä! Sen jälkeen en ole kuullutkaan mitään. Toivottavasti tällaista vastausta ei toiminnan seurannassa sisällytetä kategoriaan: asiakkaalle vastattu määräajassa??

Eihän tämän näin pitäisin mennä. 

Tänään 16.12. järjestelmässä jotain häikkää, tietojen noutaminen ei onnistu.
