Go to any section click the red play now button and the app crashes. ### 4/5 — Great content but app could use some UI updates *2020-04-30, version 34* I ordered my subscription, downloaded the app, then installed. Upon launching for the first time I logged in and found a great assortment of videos to watch. Overall the content is great and its easy to get up and going. I deducted a star because of a few quirky and annoying usability issues. For example, if you are inside a course that has multiple videos there’s no progress noted so you have to go search for the right video in that particular course, and then find your place. Ideally, this would be designed similar to Netflix so when there are multiple videos in a course you can see progress for each one and start where you ended. A second issue is the sensitivity to timeout. If I pause a video, then step away for five minutes the course goes back to the beginning and I must dig through the videos to find where I finished. A third issue is the touch sensitivity when scrolling through the videos that make up a course. If you touch one to swipe left or right (which you must) it launches the video if your swipe isn’t perfect to the touch. Overall, great content with an app that could use some UI updates. ### 1/5 — Do not use in app purchases *2017-11-20, version 9.3* Do not renew subscription from the app, if for some reason it is on hold. I made that mistake and was charged by apple but it was not put towards my subscription. ### 1/5 — Amazing content, rubbish app. *2017-10-28, version 8.5* I have experienced problems with this application since day one. It does not support flipping orientation, and cuts off content when browsing videos in landscape. Scrubbing forward or backwards in video often results in desynced audio. It does not preserve my last watched video, so if I stop part way through a playlist, I need to start from the beginning and figure out where I was. The latest issue is that I cannot sign in, “my” email address and name are incorrect after logging in with my credentials so the app is unusable. Yet my credentials work perfectly on the web. I’ll continue to subscribe, but I’ll use the web interface, this is rubbish. ### 1/5 — Slow, buggy, and no full screen *2017-03-01, version 4.0* My title says it all. Panteao is a great subscription, but the current version of the app is just buggy, slow, and no matter what you do, no full screen landscape on your phone. I've resorted to watching on my web browser. ### 3/5 — App issues but great response from Panteao *2017-02-27, version 4.0* After posting 1 star review. I'm upping to 3. I emailed panteao thru the contact us feature on website. Within an hour I received an email from Fernando Coelho, President and CEO of Panteao. He inquired about my issue and we emailed back and forth a few times while he trouble shot the issue to get info he can get to the tech guys. This was on a Sunday afternoon. Can't ask for anything more. I'll update to 5 stars once issues are worked out. ### 1/5 — No landscape playback? *2017-02-24, version 4.0* Very frustrating. I just renewed my second year with Panteo and cannot watch videos on my iPhone in landscape. However, with this new version of the app I can no longer watch in full screen on my iPhone. With a previous version I was able to. I recently updated and now I don't even want to watch anymore. Considering canceling my subscription. I emailed Panteao over a month ago about this issue and I got no response. ### 1/5 — intermittant loading, too slow *2017-01-20, version 4.0* This app is unsable in its current state. It may only load upon startup 1 out of five times. Very slow interface. Occasionally I can get the app to load and work, only to have it time out in midstream. It is a shame as the content in the videos is excellent. I can only use my subscription on my Amazon Fire TV and on my computer. I was intending on using it more on my iPad. As you watch a video, it will not go full screen on the iPad if you turn it sideways. Then if you get it to go full screen, when the next chapter plays, it turns back to the original. Poorly designed, definitely a 2nd rate app, with little to no thought put in to the end user. Don't bother with this app if you have an iPad, just go to the website and watch from there. Apparently you can hear audio if you plug into headphones but I haven't tried this yet. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible App hinders great content *2026-07-24, version 68.33* The content is amazing, but the app borders on useless. Long loading / buffering times, a search function that doesn’t pull up titles unless they’re an exact match, and downloading content for offline viewing is buggy. Often the content will play twice at the same time leading to mismatched audio. Overall a very poor, frustrating app experience. ### 1/5 — Go back to the way things were! *2025-12-31, version 68.32* Over the last 2-3 years the web site has changed, the title of the company has changes, the App has changed, the ability to purchase DVDs has gone away and NOW, if I try to download titles for offline viewing, the titles don’t completely download and episodes that DO download are mostly out of order. This is NOT what I call customer service. I’d rather go back to a monthly fee and have the DVDs opportunity back or at least be able to have titles download properly. ### 1/5 — Worse than the old app *2024-05-24, version 59* When I taught the old app couldn’t get worse, they some how made it worse! It took months to download content that I had already purchased years ago, only now when downloaded, the videos are split into chapter that are treated as separate videos. Not only are they not in order but some just don’t download at all! Thank you for revamping’. ### 5/5 — Can't log in - FIXED *2015-03-08, version 2.0* Upgraded rating from one to five stars!! Outstanding customer service. Initially the app wouldn't allow a login. Contacted Panteao customer support via their website to report this and a separate issue with the mobile web interface. I received a reply that the login issue would be fixed soon and the mobile website later in the week. They even emailed me when the login issue was resolved which was done on the back end and didn't require a new app version. All on a weekend.
