### 4/5 — Suggestion

*2023-07-07, version 1.1*

It would be great if there was a widget which just showed todays highlight so I could “pin” it to my homescreen.

### 4/5 — Nice bare-bones app

*2022-04-13, version 1.1*

I like the app overall and it integrates well with the Make Time philosophy. I wish that the time timer would record how much time I’ve spent on my daily highlight.

### 4/5 — Ipad screen support?

*2020-12-10, version 1.0*

simple & good design app, which is my long waited app. btw, i know this app is designed for iphone users and its screen tho. it would be great if it supports full ipad horizontal screen maybe in the future.

### 4/5 — Review Make Time

*2020-12-03, version 1.0*

Norm Wilson

This app follows the principle of selecting a significant priority for the day as outlined in the book and focusing on it.

Only recently installed and still learning. But appears straight forward. Would also like to include two other priorities.

### 5/5 — Easy interface and innovative 🤓😎😎😎

*2020-12-01, version 1.0*

Nice 👍

### 5/5 — One question?

*2020-12-01, version 1.0*

What did I do before this app?

If you’ve read Make Time this app is the perfect companion to the book. It looks and feels like an extension of the book

If you haven’t read the book but want to Make Time to do the things you want. This app helps you to do exactly that.

A well designed app that makes me want to use it. Thanks to the developers for doing such a great job.

### 5/5 — Book converted to an app!

*2020-12-01, version 1.0*

12/1/20: I loved the book and follow a lot of the recommendations. One of the impactful changes i have made is identifying the highlights. I try to have a daily highlight as often as possible but i do ensure to have a monthly and a weekly major highlight as well. These are decomposed to my daily highlights for incremental achievements. I have been using a combination of bullet journal and tactics from this book in a onenote. I am sure i am going to enjoy this app as well. It looks very intuitive and love the time timer option as well! And its free!
Can we have a log-in option of some sort?

### 5/5 — Great approach, great app

*2020-11-26, version 1.0*

So helpful. I’ve been waiting for this app for a long time.

### 5/5 — Buy sprint!

*2020-10-31, version 1.0*

Buy make time!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unable to create highlight

*2023-07-10, version 1.1*

Not able to create highlight, while dragging the calendar and highlight disappears!

### 1/5 — Timer on iPhone SE 2016 & iPhone 8+ not working

*2021-02-13, version 1.0*

Can’t start the timer as the button is hidden. Can’t scroll down to see it either. Beautiful app besides that. 👍🤠 iPhone 8 won’t let me add a highlight for the day. Very confusing glitch.

### 2/5 — Decent UI, but...

*2021-02-14, version 1.0*

I might be missing something, but after creating and scheduling my highlight (and giving the app permission to access my calendar), it's still not showing up on the calendar at all. If this is a bug, it's a pretty big one. I will definitely update this review if this gets fixed/addressed.
Update 2/21: Checked back to see if the app had been updated at all since launch, but it doesn't look like it. Still pretty useless.

### 3/5 — Lack of widget misses a trick

*2023-12-06, version 1.1*

A significant concept of the Make Time system is about having a sticky note that you can have with you at all times during the day.

In creating a digital tool to replicate this concept, I find it baffling that the app doesn’t support home screen widgets that would allow you to virtually have that sticky note updated on your home screen each day.

Please “Make Time“ to add this feature, please, Jake and John.

Thanks!

### 3/5 — More Highlights for the day!

*2022-02-16, version 1.1*

Would love to have the option of adding more highlights for the day.

### 3/5 — Highlight set night before deleted by am

*2021-06-02, version 1.1*

I set my highlight for the next day the night before (okay if I’m honest I’m copying today’s over to tomorrow because I haven’t done it).
It stays in the calendar but is deleted from the app by morning?

Would also like a way to access ALL of the book thru app if there is a way to prove you bought the book (which I have).

### 3/5 — Something wrong on reflect

*2021-01-06, version 1.0*

Can you guys check reflect workflow? I’ve tried a couple of times and I’m reflecting highlights for the future and my previous reflections get lost. Am I in the future?

### 3/5 — Needs Improvements

*2020-12-27, version 1.0*

Great concept, Good UI, Bad UX

Renaming the highlight resets the time and makes us choose it again.

If you work till late and finish your work after midnight, the app goes crazy. Doesn’t understand what is today what is tomorrow.
Highlight gets lost.

During review app shows a highlight, but later changes its name to the one that was added for the next day. And there is no way to rename the reviewed highlight.

If you change duration of timer, it starts the timer.

### 3/5 — It's good, but could be better

*2020-12-16, version 1.0*

This app is creative and wonderfully designed, don't get me wrong! Needless to say, it can improve.

1) The highlights are not accurate with the day. For example, a highlight for Dec 16 may pop up as "today" when it is only Dec 15.

2) I cannot clear a reflection. I can change it, but what if I want to delete it?

Again, Jake and JZ, great app!

### 4/5 — Almost Perfection

*2025-07-16, version 2.0*

I love how much this app feels like it was ripped straight out of the book. The only thing it’s missing is a space to select your energize tactic. Not sure if there are any more developments being made for this app, but me and my entire IT department are now utilizing the Make Time method and would love to have that energize space added!

Lastly, all the app’s features being completely free is just brilliant considering someone wouldn’t have any real use for this without having learned the tactic from the book that has to be bought itself.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2023-08-09, version 1.1*

So simple and helpful, while being privacy focused.

### 5/5 — perfect productivity app

*2021-04-05, version 1.0*

I love this app. Like the book, it helps you prioritize what’s most important in your life, which isn’t necessarily work (like most productivity books emphasize).

It’s had it’s fair share of bugs, but it’s totally worth sticking with, and the bugs I’ve noticed have been fixed quickly.

But can there be a widget please? A widget to show the highlight? And maybe one to show the laser timer?

### 5/5 — Keep it simple stupid!

*2021-03-16, version 1.0*

Make time excels in being a simple approach to a simple problem.

### 5/5 — Top-notch productivity tool

*2020-12-08, version 1.0*

Make Time app helps you to focus on what really matters

### 5/5 — Simple, Free, No ads

*2020-12-05, version 1.0*

This is a straightforward app with a single purpose - getting you to focus on one specific project or task (highlight) each day. It has been a tremendous boon to my productivity and concentration. I love the laser focus timer. I simply set it and start working on an assignment for the allotted time with no interruptions. My daughter uses it for her homework, too.
I also enjoy reflecting at the end of the day.
This app offers something I haven’t been able to find yet amid programs like RescueTime and the various Pomodoro-style apps out there - a free, non-invasive, non-irritating app with no ads or other catches that actually works. A task-minder, timer, reflection and gratitude journal all in one.
Paired with the book, this is an amazing tool and I highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — So Helpful. This is Great

*2020-12-03, version 1.0*

Minimal yet Powerful The Timer Count Down is very motivating for me at work making progress on my tasks Thanks

The other things I like about this Ap are:
the Clean look
User friendly
Would Recommend if looking for something to help stay Focused

### 5/5 — A game changer

*2020-12-03, version 1.0*

I’ve never written an app review before, but this app warrants it. After reading the book which I found to be life changing I followed the Make Time System consistently and even taught others all about it. But as someone who is not naturally organized it was hard for me to keep track of all the components of the system and how to best optimize it. Comes this app, and solves my problem. The way it encourages you to identify and schedule your highlight (the one thing you need to make sure you do the next day), the ability to clearly time yourself as you do it, and the way it helps you reflect at the end of the day is tremendous. You can also use the app to revisit tips to utilize the system even more effectively. I’m so excited to use this app to continue to make time for the things that matter most!

### 5/5 — A real game changer!

*2020-12-02, version 1.0*

It is easy to think that you will write down your goals and achieve..... I am fabulous at writing lists and making plans...and completely ignoring them. This app has already helped me to achieve two things I have meant to do since the beginning of lockdown in March?!! A simple app that cuts through the complications in life and makes the most of the time you have. Don’t think about it, download it now.

### 5/5 — Useful little app

*2020-12-02, version 1.0*

Nice little app. The walkthrough was top notch!

I do wish the Highlight text was a bit bigger. If I get distracted, which NEVER happens, it would be nice to glance down and get a quick reminder of what I’m supposed to be doing.

Im also super disappointed it doesn’t say “Buy Sprint” anywhere. What’s up with that?

For future features, being able to add a few checklist items or some details to the Highlight might be useful. Depending on the Highlight, I like to break down the 60-90 minutes into a game plan with actionable items.

Overall, super excited to use this. Thanks for making it!

### 5/5 — Love the Time Timer integration

*2020-12-01, version 1.0*

This is a fantastic app. Just what I needed to get focused and complete meaningful work. And I love that it integrates the Time Timer, one of my favorite tools!
