What I DON’T like is that even with speaker off, it blocks my music and my devotionals. ### 4/5 — Hints *2024-01-06* The game keeps telling me I have 100 free hints for finishing a game, but I can’t find them. Four stars though as some words which are pretty standard (e.g. bin) are not included in standard mode. I don’t want to always have to play with the extended dictionary to be able to play pretty basic words! Who on Earth decided which words would be included? To be honest, ‘bin’ is in fact a basic word which one learns in primary school! ### 4/5 — Make words *2022-02-04* Standard dictionary needs to upgrade. Highly recommend to those who love word games and enjoy a little challenge. However, is it really necessary to make curse words part of the challenge? I hate typing those words in for the answer. Dommage, il faudrait revoir tout ça. ### 2/5 — Awesome but… *2026-01-18, version 1.2* I love this game is pretty addictive, but every time I want to play while listening to Spotify, it shuts down my music even when the game sound is muted . I don’t see any other sound setting . Pretty annoying 🫩 ### 2/5 — Location shared without permission *2023-07-23* I just realized that this app is sharing my location without my permission. I live in a small town with mostly small towns around me. I get targeted ads from businesses in my small town and in adjacent small towns. This is not random or a coincidence as only people in the area have heard of our towns. I checked location sharing in my settings and I did not give this app permission to access my location. I note that this app has not been updated in a couple of years but the app should be updated to comply with the current ios location sharing protocols. I am deleting the app now. ### 3/5 — Dictionary issues *2025-09-10* I love this game for its format and simplicity, and the fact that I’m not bombarded with ads or challenges, special rewards etc. It’s a straightforward game for lovers of words like me. However its BIG problem is the dictionary behind it. The basic level has so many obscure words and I can’t believe that these are based on worldwide usage in English. There are words in the advanced level that are more common. Some words shouldn’t be allowed in this type of game anyway, such as names. If the developer would give me an email address I can give more details and examples. ### 3/5 — Could Be Great, But... *2025-01-15* This game is fun and I enjoyed it... until I realized I can't play music or podcasts when playing it. Which makes me want to delete the app and find a new one. This flaw makes no sense. Also, as others have said, the option to delete letters would help, but the music/podcast part is a non negotiable. If I can't play my music/podcast while using an app, that app becomes worthless 🤷🏿‍♂️ ### 3/5 — Letter scramble not helpful *2024-11-30, version 1.2* I keep pressing the scramble letter icon by mistake and there is no cancel or are you sure function and the game is harder when the letters are out of alphabetical order. In the time mode you only have to use 10 coins for 30 seconds but 30 coins for 60 seconds so you just as well press 30 second twice to attain 60 seconds thereby saving 10 coins! ### 3/5 — Letter scramble not helpful *2024-08-24* I keep pressing the scramble letter icon by mistake and there is no cancel or are you sure function and the game is harder when the letters are out of alphabetical order. ### 3/5 — The dictionary the app uses is seriously deficient *2024-05-12* I have been playing this game for awhileand finally gave up in frustration. The standard dictionary that the app uses appears to be made up out of whole cloth. It recognizes a noun but not the plural of that noun even when the plural consists of just adding an “s” to the noun. A lot of common English words like “tony” (fashionable), “scot” (a celtic people) and “eddy” (a current) are not recognized at all. And the standard dictionary borrows liberally from other languages requiring you to guess at words from other languages that are not common to English. It inexplicably recognizes the plural of some nouns but not the root and vice versa. It evens requires you to enter Proper, capitalized, nouns like “Tasso” when proper nouns should not be allowed. In a word game the dictionary is the key. This game is frustrating instead of enjoyable because the normal rules of engagement for a word scrabble game such as this has been abandoned. ### 3/5 — Great game but *2023-10-03* It’s annoying that there is no option to turn off the sound and even with sound it force closes my music app so I can’t listen to music. Otherwise it would be a five star game. ### 3/5 — Can’t Play Podcasts While Using App *2022-04-03* I really like the game, and would have paid to be able to listen to podcasts while using the app. I’m using an iPhone to play, and like to multitask. :) Also, it would be great to be able to repeat a word in the entry, and delete letters - to save time and instead of spelling everything over and over. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Love this game *2025-09-05* I accidentally stumbled V onto this game in the App Store and it quickly became one of my favorite games. I do have a few suggestions that I feel would make this game ever more wonderful than it already is.. but I’ll leave those for a time that they may be asked for. This game has minimal ads, it’s short n sweet, to the point, and it’s very fun!
