## What is MakeCanvas?

MakeCanvas makes the short looping video that plays behind your song in Spotify, called a Canvas.

START FROM WHAT YOU HAVE
Pick a video or a photo from your camera roll. Keep the best 8 seconds with the trim strip, and MakeCanvas sizes it to the vertical 720 x 1280 format.

SEE IT WHERE IT WILL PLAY
The preview always sits inside a music player view, so you see your canvas behind a song title and player controls while you work.

MAKE IT YOURS
- Looks: Vivid, Noir, Vintage, Cyber, Dream, Thermal and Neon Edge, each with an intensity slider
- Motion: slow zoom in or zoom out
- Frame: fill the screen or fit the whole picture, then pinch and drag to place it
- Speed: half, normal, 1.5x or double
- Fade in, fade out or both
- Save your favorite settings as presets

AI CANVAS
Paste a song link, search an artist, or upload your song or cover. MakeCanvas listens and suggests canvas ideas for that song, then makes the one you pick. AI canvases use AI credits.

CANVAS CHECKER
Search an artist to see which of their latest songs already have a canvas and which ones still need one.

YOUR CANVASES
Every canvas you make is saved to your Photos. Canvases saved to your account are listed in the app, so you can play them, save them again or reopen them.

ONE ACCOUNT
Sign in with Apple, Google or email. It is the same account as makecanvas.me, so everything you have there is here too.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-11-04

New in this version:
• Effects: add up to 3 effects and watch them play live on your clip.
• Seamless Loop: the end of your clip fades into its start, so your canvas repeats with no jump.
• Background colour: choose the colour around your clip when it is fitted or zoomed out.
• Full view slides the player away for a clean look at your canvas.
• Smoother sliders and many small fixes.

### 1.0 — 2026-11-02
