I requested a refund the moment I realized there are no other options other than AI, and was told I couldn’t have a refund. There are actual native speakers that can do the same job you’re destroying our environment for. Stop wasting water on AI and pay real people to teach. Incredibly disappointing approach when the theory behind learning language through hypnotizing is incredible. ### 1/5 — Avoid! *2026-08-12, version 2.14.3* Complete and total scam. They advertised on Instagram as hypnosis related language lessons. Thought I would listen to them on a run or when falling asleep. There’s 1, 6 minute lesson. They refuse to refund my money… ### 1/5 — Worst App Available *2026-08-12, version 2.14.2* If I could I’d give it no stars. I started out as a beginner and on the first course they had me reading kanji?!? This is at best an immediate level course, and they did not have any prior lessons covering this. Did not make sense. I tried the next lesson and the same result. So after two days, I decided to cancel the app and get a refund. They said that since nothing was wrong with the app they won’t extend a refund. So it has to be a technical problem to offer a refund, when they advertise a 30-day guarantee. Don’t understand. App layout is horrible, courses are terrible and overall a very incomplete way to learn a language. I’d go with Falou. It’s much easier to learn your next language. Avoid the headache and disappointment. Don’t download and support this horrible application. ### 1/5 — False advertising *2026-08-11, version 2.14.2* I got the app and membership because they advertised ALL OVER THE PLACE for Korean hypnosis learning. After I downloaded I found out they don’t have it and was told that it was releasing with the next update. The update came and it wasn’t there and was told they don’t offer it in Korean. Save your money for a reputable and honest learning app. ### 1/5 — Not worth the hassle *2026-08-11, version 2.14.2* I decided during the free trial that I didn’t want the app. No one could find my account and cancel my subscription. Then when I was billed for it I asked to cancel and get a refund for the app. They refused to give me a refund and still haven’t cancelled my subscription. I had to call my bank and block them and get the refund I deserve. There is an AI bit you can converse with to your heart’s delight, but don’t count on it to hear you well or respond in a helpful way. It’s very encouraging though! Lol. This uses gamification and streaks and knowledge building just like every other app. The interface felt limited, didn’t function properly, and couldn’t even resolve the first lesson…it literally froze and locked without completing one of the 4 modules no matter how many times I completed it. When I decided it wasn’t for me and tried to cancel and get my refund (day 3, by the way) I might as well have been asking for a spare kidney. Non-cooperative, never addresses any of my concerns, but kept offering deep discounts on pricing to stay. Would have been content to try something, realize it’s not for me and move on, but it feels like I’ve been lied to at every stage from brand marketing through to cancellation. Try at your own risk. ### 1/5 — ERRORS!! *2026-08-06, version 2.14.2* App is loaded with errors. Luckily, I know enough Italian to recognize many of them. Ex: does not capture daily streak input/progress; does not check off Missing Word lesson after completion; many weird, useless sentences (I blithely walked around the mall 🤦🏻‍♀️; the boy gave a timid help 🤦🏻‍♀️); does not include female gender differentiation (!); no punctuation to indicate a separation of 2 sentences, thus, verbal translation just runs sentences together with no pause in between; cadence/intonation of every sentence is the same whether a statement or question … I could go on & on. When I requested by email to cancel app at end of subscription, I got their confirmation my request was recv’d, but they renewed it anyway & would not refund my money!! Even after re-sending my original cancel request with date as proof! SHADY stuff!!! So paid over $100 for an app that is poorly designed and filled with errors. ### 1/5 — Too many bugs *2026-08-05, version 2.14.2* I purchased the app to learn Japanese. There are so many bugs that the app doesn’t register progress, the AI makes errors in translation, the app marks correct answers as wrong, the voice of the AI is completely out of synch with the avatar image. Response from the developer is poor at best. Apple should take this app down until the developer can correct interface bugs. ### 1/5 — Glitchy app - Greedy Company *2026-08-04, version 2.14.2* The app barely works. The units don’t progress like they should and after being frustrated with having to troubleshoot the app everytime I wanted to use it I decided that I didn’t want to be bothered with it. After going back and forth with customer service they decided that 50% refund was the best they could after using it for 48hours. 50% on a 6 MONTH subscription is crazy. And then cancelled the service immediately. I’m just overly frustrated with them and I warn anyone that if you’re not getting the free trial first don’t even bother cause the app will brick and they don’t care at all. ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2026-08-03, version 2.14.2* This app is honestly awful. It is so glitchy. It doesn’t save your progress. It gets caught in a loop. It pronounces words wrong! I have to constantly close the app and reopen it to try to get through a full lesson. The AI does not capture what I’m really saying. It is not worth the money spent. Try something else. I clicked no on them all and one went to yes and charged me. I emailed them right away asking for a refund for the up charge and they refused. I had to go to my bank to get my refund. Don’t bother with this. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — horrible glitchy app with deceptive billing *2026-08-20, version 2.14.4* I tried this app for the initial 3 months, and quickly found that it was not a great fit for me. i set reminders in my phone to be sure to cancel prior to renewal, but when i went to do so,as i have with many other apps in my app library. there was no option to cancel and it was listed as a “free app”, after contacting Apple they also had no recommendations, so i figured maybe something changed and let it go, until i was charged. I immediately disputed the charge through Paypal which prompted a direct form to communicate with the powers that be at MYF. first they offered me a deeply discounted subscription, but when i didn’t accept that they became very arrogant and robotic with their responses and attempted to educate me on how to not get scammed in the future! i see they have a lot of negative reviews, with similar issues and all they ever say is “email them” so they can tell you how stupid you are for allowing them to take your money! ### 1/5 — Not like the ad *2026-08-18, version 2.14.4* I signed because of the AI hypnosis to learn when I’m doing other things but it doesn’t even keep playing when my phone goes to sleep I can’t even do the 5 min lesson. Non responsive. Definitely no hypnosis to be seen anywhere. I downloaded it specifically for the hypnosis function but the sound stops when the screen turns off. I reached out immediately asking for help or a refund. The translations are often broken up and don’t flow naturally. I also found the subscription process very sneaky. I paid for 6 months and was automatically charged again. There is no option in the app to turn off the subscription—you have to email them directly and ask them to cancel it.
