Makii puts your city's African restaurants and grocery shops on one map. Whether you're after a maquis for tonight, smoked fish, or simply somewhere your language is spoken, it's all here.

WHAT THE COMMUNITY KNOWS

Google gives you the name and the address. It doesn't know which country money is sent to from that particular shop, what they really stock, or which language you'll be understood in. Only we can say that.

On every listing, you share what you know: transfers to Senegal, Mali, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire; attiéké, bissap, smoked fish, plantain; Wolof, Bambara, Lingala, Soninke. A second person confirms, and the information becomes reliable for everyone.
