KINDERGARTEN TO FIRST GRADE readers will read about a girl and her mom who show the ingredients and sequence needed to make a yummy pizza. Should she make it just as her mother always has? Should she branch off of tradition and let her individuality shine through? This story expertly tackles such coming-of-age questions that we all had to find our own answers to. At first I was worried at the part where the girl messes up her pizza, but everything finally comes together in a spectacular ending which I won't ruin for the reader. All in all, this timeless narrative of traditional versus innovative paradigms had me at the edge of my seat for every riveting page. Bravo.
