## What is Mallang Chess?

Mallang Chess is a soft, friendly chess app for everyone — from someone touching a board for the first time to a player sharpening their tactics.

◆ Play Solo
Play against animal characters: Mir the owl, Leo the lion, Tori the turtle, Lupin the fox, Chichi the squirrel and Peep the chick. Each one has its own difficulty and playing style, thinks for a moment before moving, and chats to you across the board. Your win-loss record is kept for every character.

◆ Coaching
- An evaluation bar shows who stands better at a glance
- Ask Eggy for a hint and you get the reason, not just the move
- Blunders are flagged so you can take the move back and try again

◆ Practice — 141 puzzles in five courses
- Tactics: 90 puzzles over 9 levels, from winning a free piece to mate in two
- Survive: escape a check, save a piece under attack, stop a runaway pawn
- Combos: multi-move puzzles you solve by chaining moves together
- Classics: positions from famous games — Morphy's Opera Game, the Immortal Game, Philidor's Legacy, Boden's mate
- Strategy: positional ideas such as good squares, pins, and removing a defender
Every position is checked by the engine, and a move you missed in one of your own games can be replayed as a puzzle.

Animated lessons for every piece and every rule, castling, en passant and promotion included.

Playing online with a friend just got much easier.

• Instead of matching you with a stranger, the app asks who you want to play.
• Everyone you have played before is right there — one tap to play again.
• Friends who do not have Mallang Chess yet can be sent a link.

Online games are now saved to Review, so you can step back through them move by move. Winning one also earns Eggy his flag.

You can now dress Eggy up from Settings on iPad too, and a Korean line left over on the English screens has been fixed.

Eggy has started receiving presents!
 • Beat a character for the first time and they give you something — a crown from Leo, a party hat from Peep, a graduation cap from Mir, a cape from Tori, a white belt from Chichi, a wand from Lupin.
 • Puzzles and online games earn the wig, the flag and the trophy. Dress him up from Settings.
 • Whatever he wears shows up everywhere he does — the home screen, the referee's calls, hints and chat.
 • Eggy now explains castling and en passant: tap the rook or the pawn and he shows you what to do on the board.
