### 5/5 — New user

*2025-01-24, version 4.25.2763*

So far quite easy and able to add specific parts of the body or locations is useful

### 5/5 — really helpful and effective!

*2025-01-18, version 4.25.2763*

This app is easy to use and super effective. You can easily long pain increases and decreases in detail and generate overall reports!

### 5/5 — A useful tool

*2025-01-14, version 4.25.2763*

I’ve been using MMP regularly for a year now. It was recommended to me by healthcare team, and for good reason: it has helped me recognize patterns and trends in the pain I feel, along with highlighting what interventions have been most/least helpful in my own pain management. My healthcare team are connected with the app so that they’re able to follow along with my progress and provide suggestions. Because the app also allows the addition of logging daily activities, I’ve seen progress in my functionality as my treatment continues. It’s a great motivator for self care.

### 4/5 — For a free app? Pretty good!

*2025-01-12, version 4.25.2763*

A helpful app, especially post major surgery, to keep track of all the pain. My only issue is that it seems they have really taken into consideration a LOT of obscure factors whilst maybe neglecting some things that feel obvious.

I’d like to see the option to rate pain in halves. For example, 2.5 instead of having to choose between 2-3. Perhaps that’s a pedantic request but it would be helpful. I also wish there was a way to tailor the app to always ignore the daily reflection. I don’t really have the time to write anything more than my daily pain levels and it’s annoying when it keeps popping up.

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2024-12-29, version 4.25.2763*

I have been using this app for three years to track my daughter’s pain and it is great.

+=
-lots of different factors and categories. You can add your own and personalise the order of lists, which is helpful.
-The development of pain strength over different periods of time is visualised in graphs, which are very helpful to show doctors.
- statistical information is helpful to try to identify triggers and solutions
- the daily reflection scale can be used to track a second symptom in parallel to the first

- not many
- it would be great to be able to track different kinds of pain at the same time, eg. Headaches and stomach aches and seizures/ drop attacks
- the duration tracker can be misleading, because it creates an average on the graph, so if someone has a few hours a pain level 8, but mostly a 4, it might come out the same as someone with a whole day 5. This makes it difficult to show doctors improvement from medication

### 4/5 — Does what is advertised

*2024-12-28, version 4.25.2763*

It is good and I am liking it a lot but I wish you could add notes or custom options on if medication helped or not. For example if my meds slightly worked for an hour or so and I clicked “yes” indicating my meds helped isn’t the best but I’d be lying if I said they didn’t help at all. It’s be great if there were either more options or a custom option

### 5/5 — *Simply* the Best

*2024-12-23, version 4.25.2763*

Really happy with how the designers laid this out. It’s so simple to log the essentials, and adding custom categories is the selling point for me. I log pain daily and like to be “in and out” of the app. Other apps I’ve tried were just too congested with unnecessary details.

### 5/5 — Actually pretty good

*2024-11-26, version 4.23.2731*

I have back pain and this is a great logging app for pain and reflection

### 5/5 — Great!

*2024-11-17, version 4.23.2731*

Works great! Love being able to save your records into a file for the pain specialist or treating practitioner.
Would be good to add photos or have that drawing of a person to circle exact location of pain. It does have all descriptions you could need and you can add more.

### 5/5 — Julia

*2024-11-14, version 4.23.2731*

I have pain all day every day. Downside of this app is that it reminds me of all my aches and pains. Plus side…it keeps me aware of all my aches and pains.

### 5/5 — Great, intuitive app

*2024-11-05, version 4.23.2731*

It’s a really good intuitive app that has helped me to manage and improve chronic pain. The questions have helped me to feel better when I’m having a really bad day.

### 5/5 — Get this!

*2024-11-03, version 4.23.2731*

Will help record your pain and would be a good tool to pass on to your GP

### 4/5 — J’adore

*2024-11-02, version 4.23.2731*

Très pratique pour suivre ses symptômes

### 5/5 — Helps me manage my pain

*2024-10-23, version 4.22.2720*

This app helps my Dr. and I keep a better understanding of my pain and how to better control my pain.

### 5/5 — Gute App

*2024-10-16*

Gute App, übersichtlich und gut zu handeln

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — hEDS sufferer

*2026-03-28, version 4.46.3128*

Hate this app. Not helpful. Waste of time. Tracks your pain. That’s it. You honestly shouldn’t need an app for that. 10 years of my life in pain I think I understand my triggers, symptoms, and what does or doesn’t work. It will suggest you see a psychiatrist, use mindfulness, and breathing exercises to control pain. Let me say if any of that worked I wouldn’t need to see a specialist. So frustrating to have to log your pain, and nothing come of it. Why should I have to use this app for my provider to believe I’m in pain? Absolute nonsense.

### 1/5 — Scams you

*2025-10-19, version 4.41.2931*

The app will scam you if you pay. You need to purchase a credit to generate a report older than 30 days, but once you do, it won’t let you generate the report.

### 1/5 — Log in

*2024-01-28, version 4.14.2591*

I can’t even get logged in. Deleted app.

### 1/5 — Hard to Enter Medications

*2022-03-05, version 3.85.2257*

One of the biggest things to do when dealing with chronic pain is figuring out what medications help. It was impossible to select individual medications from the list that you entered when making pain entries. It always logged all the medications in your list even when you think you only selected one of them. And going back to edit the entry to correct it didn’t work. There was never a clear indication of what medication was selected. Would not recommend.

### 3/5 — Not very easy to use

*2026-01-30, version 4.43.3037*

Have to pay extra for graphs or reports. Didn’t show a very good summary

### 3/5 — Nur aktuelle Einträge nicht rückwirkend

*2026-01-07*

**Developer response:** Hello - the issue with not being able to enter older records was actually a bug that was introduced in the last version. The good news is that we've now fixed the issue and you should be able to enter all records from all years without restriction! You also can upgrade to a subscription if you choose. Sorry about the inconvenience. If you ever have issues, please email us at contact@managinglife.com

### 3/5 — Ok, but!

*2025-09-12, version 4.40.2916*

Keeps crashing! After the update around the 12 September, app keeps crashing when click onto the add your pain record.

Pretty disappointing given it was working fine yesterday and was meeting all my needs. Would have given it a five star review yesterday!

### 3/5 — Awkward but helpful

*2024-09-02, version 4.21.2710*

I’m still learning how to use and add locations of pain as well as medications

### 3/5 — Handy

*2024-01-27, version 4.14.2591*

I guess t go to monitor pain on a daily basis

### 3/5 — Disappointed

*2023-12-12, version 4.13.2580*

I was asked to use this by my doctor, but I find it to be unhelpful for my needs.

I was expecting and hoping for an app that allowed me to track what was hurting and how it felt (what, where, when & how it feels), and associated signs and symptoms. For example, wrist and hand pain with swelling, tightness and increased blood pressure. Or abdominal pain with cramping, abdominal distension, sweating and increased heat rate. Although I can list additional symptoms, I cannot include numerical measurements such as size of swelling, most importantly vital signs. I also can’t see any trends between pain and vital signs/ observed signs.

I also find it very tedious and time-consuming to complete because a separate entry needs to be done for every individual location of pain. For example my hip pain feels very different than my neck pain. Each need separate entries and this is extremely time consuming when dealing with multiple conditions.

I can see this being a useful app for people who think a lot about or focus on their pain. I have the opposite issue where I don’t think about pain and l don’t perceive sensations as painful. I suspect it is designed specifically for addressing the perception of pain rather that tracking with the intention of identification and treatment of the cause of pain (and associated symptoms). That is why I’m disappointed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best Pain Management App

*2026-07-12, version 4.49.3235*

I love that this app is simple yet useful it doesn’t lock you behind a paywall to access basic tracking needs. Each question is also customizable so you can input your own information. If anyone needs a pain tracking app i highly recommend this app.

### 5/5 — Helpful & Simple

*2026-07-03, version 4.48.3205*

I waited until I’ve been using this app for over a year to make sure I really liked it. It’s exactly what you need if you’re trying to collect data points on your pain. The charts are very handy and I gave them to my GP who appreciated how clear they were. It’s also really nice that this is a free app and that you can personalise it a bit, thank you to the developers.

### 5/5 — Extremely helpful & overlooked app

*2025-10-20, version 4.41.2931*

I wanted a simple tracker for logging my chronic pain and was dubious when I saw this app due to limited number or reviews but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. It is extremely straightforward for rating pain out of 10 at any day and time, logging duration, and tagging bodily parts & sensations as well as contributing factors. You can then view the logs in report form or calendar view (was specifically looking for a simple view of how often the pain arises on a calendar format). Very impressed.

### 5/5 — Helps me remember to track pain

*2025-09-23, version 4.40.2918*

This has been really helpful for me. It's easy to navigate, I can see all the pain reports I've made, and I feel comfortable knowing that I could share this with my doctor at some point to talk to them about it.

### 5/5 — Neurodivergent Perfection

*2025-08-04, version 4.31.2852*

1. I NEVER leave reviews
2. Appreciation- Day 4 using and all I can say is thank you so so so much! A free app that actually helps me organize my pain and what’s associated with it. WOW.
3. Use- simple, effective. Reports are incredible. The ability to add in whatever you need can make this app a robust tool for connecting physical ailments with mental, emotional, and physical factors. I’m honestly blown away.
4. Neurodivergent peeps (Esp ADHD) I have always struggled with keeping track of my health in general but when my pain therapist told me I needed to be mindful of triggers and keep notes it became overwhelming. I had 3 different notebooks that all sorts overlapped and kept using the notes in my phone to keep track of pain anyways— it was a mess. This app fixed everything. I struggle to advocate for myself and the chronic pain I experience when coupled with my neurodivergence. I truly think this app will help me with that.

5. Conclusion: Like I stated above— with the simplicity, customization, reminders, and generated reports/results offered in this app are absolutely 10/10 amazing. It has helped me to be more mindful of my pain and what’s associated is triggering it in just 4 days. I am really excited (for the first time) to see how this tool can better help me advocate for myself. Thank you so much developer(s)!

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2025-03-14, version 4.26.2769*

### 5/5 — Great for tracking

*2025-02-15, version 4.26.2769*

I use this app to keep a record for my GP so we can work on triggers etc and what meds work when and where.
