Great app! Lots to interest anyone with even a casual interest in how Manchester looked in years gone by.
Wish it covered my area of Manchester - hope more films are added soon.
As another reviewer said, perhaps Manchester libraries images could also be added.
Thanks to NWFA.

### 5/5 — Wow!

*2012-02-28*

A fantastic app showing a range of films in and around the city centre, the map interface helps track down footage of places both still here and long gone. I hope the app gets continual updates with new footage, even if it requires payment as its fascinating to watch

### 5/5 — Window on history

*2012-02-28*

What an amazing app, gives you a wonderful window on history! Looking at the archive clips in the same physical place is the best but also can be used from elsewhere if you have an interest in Manchester from 1910's to 1970's.

### 5/5 — Accessible History

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 3/5 — Decent, but limited content

*2012-03-11*

The app has multiple videos of Manchester from 1911 to 1974 that provide an interesting perspective on many locations. However, the movie clips are short (typically 10 s), and most videos are from a couple of areas in the city centre (the Oxford Road/Peter Street area and Piccadilly Gardens). A larger number of videos or longer videos would be better.

### 3/5 — Good App

*2012-02-27*

Very interesting , As another review said a bit glitchy.
Needs to extend out of city centre a bit but great potential.
Not sure if it's the app or my phone , but the " follow the arrow to see present day" won't work , shame because that would be good

### 4/5 — Just like a museum!

*2012-03-14, version 1*

Just like being in a museum. Very nice app.

### 4/5 — Amazing!

*2012-03-11*

I live in Manchester, it's amazing seeing areas I know so well as they were years ago! I don't understand what the arrow thing is about & I do think some of the video clips could be better - for example, it is interesting seeing the people back then, but some clips have so many people you can't really see where they are, & I'd rather get a better view of the places. Great app though & I hope more is added to it!

### 4/5 — Great idea

*2012-02-25*

Great app for everyone interested in Manchesters history .

Would like to see it extend to the surrounding areas, also extended to access Manchester libraries photo collection .

Possibilities for this app are endless.

### 4/5 — Great content!

*2012-02-24*

Lovely app. Manchester based, but so am I, and it has great potential for upgrades, additional footage to add later etc. A bit glitchy, and the looping footage confuses, but only for the first time. Great footage. Give us more!!
