## What is Maneta?

Maneta is a minimalist smart expense tracker designed to help people understand their money quickly and clearly. The app focuses on fast daily expense logging, clean category-based organization, recurring expense tracking, and instant budget analytics.

Users can add expenses in just a few taps, review all transactions, customize categories with emoji and color, set monthly budgets, and monitor how their spending compares to an ideal pace throughout the month. Built-in analytics make it easy to see where money goes and stay aware of spending patterns without clutter or complicated setup.

Everything works directly on the device. Maneta does not require account creation, login, password authentication, external servers, or cloud services. Personal finance data stays local to the user's device.

• Over-budget indicator — when you exceed your monthly budget the main metric on the dashboard and all widgets switches from expected pace to the exact amount you're over, shown in red

• Mid-month start - opening Maneta after the 1st? The app now asks how much budget you have left this month and calculates your pace from today. Next month everything resets to your full budget automatically
