### 3/5 — Good App for Manga, Manhwa, & Manhua, but unsafe recently.

This app allowed me to read & keep track of all the Manga, Manhwa, & Manhua I was interested in, but recently an app from a trusted company kept informing me that this app was unsafe when it was opened. I deleted it hoping that it would be fixed when redownloaded, but it still says it is unsafe. I checked the app multiple times on the same day & on different days, & it keeps informing me that it is unsafe. Now I have to use multiple apps & they do not even match the level of this app (such as the # of chapters for each one or they have chapters that I have already read for some & they have no new ones, or the # of chapters are random), & it is also costing me money now too, & from redownloading the app all the Manga, Manhwa, & Manhua that were being kept track of are lost & what chapters I was on was loss too. If this problem had never happened I would give this app at least 5 stars with no problems or complaints about anything.

The app is good only a few minor issues. When searching for a manga it doesn’t allow certain characters to register like (‘). Also I want to filter my search but you really can’t do the like I want isekai and mecha but I can only check one catagory. Also I want to filter out some category cause I don’t like certain categories but they’re all mixed. Also when reading a series it keeps my progress which is good but sometimes I want to reread the chapters from the beginning I have to manually go back to page 1.then there when I go to next chapter ya doesn’t change chapters till like a few minutes or I have to try again. Also with the current update it doesn’t load the app it’s just has the loading circle and just plain black screen.

I love this love app ability to have TONS of manga and skippable adds. However it does have a pretty big problem that doesn’t allow me to give it 5 stars.

That problem is it not having a good (or even decent) search filter. You can only filter by 1 thing at a time. Like let’s say you want a fantasy and comedy manga. Well you would have to click on one of those two categories and click on each manga individually to see if it has the other category. That’s if it’s even a good one that you like to begin with. Thankfully you don’t get adds every time you click the screen and only get adds when you click an episode or else it will be a different story and I would just give 1 star and delete the app

When I first downloaded the app i quickly decided to just pay the amount asked to not have ads (worth it since it’s half the price of one manga book and you get such a huge collection for it). BUT, my biggest issue has just recently started. I’m unsure if it’s a bug that needs an update since I’ve been using this app for almost a year now but sometimes panels won’t load. It will have a big “x” where a page should be. To try to fix it I have to sit there fiddling with the app (turning on and off wifi, closing and reopening, etc). Normally if it occurred once in a while i wouldn’t mind as much but it happens almost every chapter which is quite irritating. I hope they fix this soon !!!

Overall the app was great at the start but the ads eventually became repetitive. It’s fine for the meanwhile but I eventually bought the $10 and it was a life changer! This app legit has every series for the most part, great notifications and everything. The only problem I have is that some series and chapters won’t load completely or just are broken all together. I wouldn’t say it’s a WiFi issue either. But I would also like to see a lower resolution mode that makes it easier to load the panels quicker without losing COMPLETE visibility like manga man used to do!

I’ve been using this app for a while now and I think it’s a good one. Just a few minor issue. Issue one is that many of the series aren’t labeled with all of the applicable tags. I haven’t found any with incorrect tags. What this means however, is that if you do a genre search you aren’t getting all the series that actually fit in that genre. For example. I have come a crossed several series that mention that it is an Isekai story in the summary but it doesn’t list Isekai as a genre tag. One feature I wish they would add is a genre exclusion feature. There are a couple of genres I’m just not interested in but I have no way to keep them out of my feed. It would make this app a lot more user friendly.

Overall, when compared to most other manga apps out there this one is amazing in a lot of ways, but the one main issue I have with this app is that some series just won’t load. On certain mangas whenever I tap on it,  it doesn’t load at all. My screen just sits there spinning even after waiting close to 10 minutes. I’m not sure if anyone else is coming across the same problem but that definitely needs fixed. If that bug gets fixed, and maybe less adds, this app would be one of the best in my opinion.

I love the amount of manga that is available on this app. That being said, I have one major complaint. Rereadability is a pain. Once a chapter is read it will stay at the end page. Meaning if you want to reread a series you have to manually swipe back to the first page for each chapter. The only way I’ve found that fixes this is deleting and reinstalling the app, which then leads to having to refund and favorite all those you had previously. Hopefully in a future update the app will add a way to restart a manga from the beginning for rereading.

Been using this app for about a month so far. Wide selection of manga. Not the prettiest or best designed app, but functional. I don’t have any complaints with the ads—all of them were only 30-45 seconds max. Only problem I’ve had is sometimes the app crashes and I have to watch the ad again and some of the chapters don’t load properly. Other than that, great app. Thanks!

Overall it’s a solid app. I like that it’s a one time purchase to get rid of ads instead of a subscription. I do think that it could be a little better UI-wise. Like if you didn’t have to explicitly choose to go onto the next chapter and you could just scroll as though it was just a long scroll instead of having to click next chapter each time.

I’d say pretty good other than the incessant review request every time I come back to the app, including if it’s already open and I’m just switching back to it from another app. Other than that, it has many (not all) of the manga, manwa, etc that I search for, and generally more episodes that are currently submitted as translated to English than most other apps. So for that alone I give it a four star, plus the app’s *relatively* easy to use platform. The minus one star is for the annoying review prompts every time I leave the app for 0.5 seconds. But other than that, the ads are not too bad as far as I can remember, though I did buy the ad removal thing, which I think was pretty cheap all things considered. But I am only reviewing this because I’m hoping that it will leave me alone for 3.5 seconds. Do what you will with this info, whether you be user or developer or whatever

It’s not a bad app for manga, but I will say that having ads every chapter was super annoying, I’d have 2 ads before I could continue. 
Also, if you reading it in the regular mode the next chapter won’t load unless you close out and go back in to click the next chapter. I’ve found this doesn’t happen if you choose the vertical setting though. 
I think if that bug is fixed it’d be an easy 4-star but seeing that that’s been an issue for a while after looking at the comments I don’t think that’s something they’re looking into fixing anytime soon.

Despite my initial bad expectations the only annoying things here are the constant ads (which you can remove with a one time purchase) and the fact that for some of the mangas they don’t load or get updated (or if they do, it’s delayed).

But honestly, compared to all the other manga apps available on iOS since most of the good ones got removed (all of which I checked out and tried) this is one of the best bc it has a lot of manga and webcomics and a good search engine (so if you search with the Japanese or English name it shows the same items in case you get confused, etc.) So I say it’s pretty good, I’ll be using it for the foreseeable future!

I dont mind the ads, i get used to them however my biggest issue is how laggy it is.

 Its not my connection I know for sure but sometimes when im on instagram, then i enter this app it starts lagging and its very annoying because sometimes it makes my phone crash. It might be my phone but my phone is pretty new(got it early this year) and I just recently updated my phone and its still lagging.

The interface and separation of genres and categories are good. Liked it enough to go for the ad-free version. However I do have one issue and that is the next chapters don’t load. I tap for the next chapter, see a black screen, go back to the manga’s page, then select continue reading to keep going. Every time i read. It happens to 2 of my devices (an iPhone and an iPad) so i’m hoping the dev picks up on this issue.

I hope this app stays for awhile, it has a huge library and isn’t bad at pulling into for summaries, chapter names, and generally get minorly watermarked scans. It doesn’t how without issues though. It crashes when you don’t have app directly open all the time, it’s hard for it to refresh a failed page (such as from bad connection) without completely leaving the chapter or refreshing the app, and if you travel outside of the us, only favorited chapter will load for some reason. A vpn fixes the last one, but it shouldn’t be necessary especially since it still loads the chapter regardless.

I paid for the ads free and it feels like it paid itself off. I hope this app thrives and improves in the future. Maybe one day I’ll correct my rating to 5 stars.

Wide selection of manga,adaptable reading styles, good picture resolution, etc. are all pros to this app. Stuff I'd like to see in the future: Being able to filter favorites by fully read manga, not fully read manga, filter through multiple genres (adventure mystery for example), and other such additions would be nice. Source switching Downloads Better search functionality (search with multiple genres, different sorting, etc.) Pretty good app overall but still a lot of room to grow

Just got the app, and was running smoothly. I was just adding manga that I wanted to read later. It gave me the option to rate the app. I clicked it, and then it closed the app completely and when I tried to open it back, it would load slow and then I went to my favorites so I could read, I clicked a manga and then the app closed again. It did this over and over again. They have really good stuff, though.

The app itself is not bad. There is ads but allows you to make a one time purchase to get rid of them completely. As I just got the app today I don’t know much but here anyway. The best app I found was discontinued not long ago “mangabird”
This app it the closest I can find on ios. It has a favorites feature and many manga to choose from.
So far I have been having trouble with the app crashing sometimes, but it could be my device. The thing I liked the most besides being able to download manga in “manga bird” which I haven’t seen from this app yet it when in vertical mode when you get to the bottom it changes pages immediately, with this app you have to do that manually. But for the most part a good choice. I rate 6-10 not bad.

So let me get this straight, this app is marketed as “Manga Rock Pro” but has like 1% of the features of the old Manga Rock app. Normally I’m not too picky about appearances but the font on the app is extremely distasteful. And if we’re talking about basics, how about adding a filter to the search feature so that the search feature does more than just help you find a very specific manga? This app was so low quality, I thought it was a work-in-progress, only to see that it hasn’t been updated in 7 months. Honestly my review would be bumped up two stars if they didn’t market this as a replacement for a fantastic app, that they failed to even replicate by 10%. The only slight similarity they share is the very generic layout of the app, and even that is pushing it.

Every time after an update, the app works fine for about a month, then the main page will fail to load anything. This is usually resolved by the time the next update happens, but please keep in mind that updating the app is not what resolves the issue. Once the new app version becomes available, the bug stops so I have decided never to update. If you have the same problems, I suggest you do the same.

Worst of it, it does NOT automatically mark your Manga as "read", you have to do that yourself. And that button to mark all as read is RIGHT NEXT TO THE DELETE ALL BUTTON.

As the title states, the app is practically unusable in its current state if you don’t buy the premium upgrade. It’s close in quality to the old version of manga top before it got decimated, but the ads are much more intrusive on this platform. It’s selection is mediocre at best and most of the good stories to read have watermarks so large and compression so intense that it renders the product inferior to using a browser and locating scans online. Only consider downloading this app if you aren’t afraid to throw 10 bucks at it for the premium version.

The home page doesn’t load and I cannot load or read any manga. Within the app, there is no way to contact the developers/created for assistance or to report bugs. I paid to remove the ads because they were quite annoying (and frequent) but now the app doesn’t even work for me so it feels like my money just went to waste. Based on other reviews, it seems like other users are also experiencing similar issues. Also, since it looks like the last update was 3 months ago so I’m not sure when or if this problem will be addressed in future updates. 

It is a solid manga reading app…when it actually worked 🤠🤠

This app has been fantastic since I first got it, and until this week I would’ve happily rated it five stars. However, starting a few days ago, the app no longer functions. The home screen is stuck on the loading circle, the search function also gets stuck on the loading circle, and while my collection still shows the manga that I have saved, once I click on one, it doesn’t load and just shows the loading circle. I am unable to read any manga anymore, which seems like a problem for an app that I paid money for. I’m hoping that they resolve this soon, or else I will have to find a different app.

I don’t know how else to contact you since the support link is busted, but ever since the update, everything is going wrong. First, it crashed every time I opened he app. I tried everything I could until I eventually had to reinstall the app, which I might add, deleted everything I had saved because there is no option to create an account to save your library. Furthermore, I guess “removed copyright content” translates to “we have removed 70-90% of our content” because I cannot find the majority of the items I had saved to my library and the majority of the generic genre filter options have literally not items under them now. 

I have literally been using this app for years now and never had issues, but whatever switches you flipped for the last update really screwed things up. Please fix this so we can continue using the app properly as well as your support link so that we actually contact you instead of having to use the review function on the App Store.

There are some annoying bugs and design flaws but worse than anything else, chapter 76 of the manga I’m reading is literally the wrong manga. How do you even do that?!?! I really hate when it jumps from one source to another from chapter to chapter and names of people, places, things, and concepts change. The quality of some of the translations make them incomprehensible. I can get over the occasional a instead of an, or incorrect use of there their they’re, but sometimes the meaning of what’s being said is totally lost.
I wish there was a comment system or a method of reporting problems. I’m not even sure if the people running it can go back and fix problems whether they are small or large. Some issues are things that are so glaring that they must know about them, so they either can’t fix it or choose not to.

I have to clear the cache everytime I open the app to get it to work on the iphone 14 pro max. It constantly closes out and at least 1-2 times a day it will shut the phone off and I have to turn it back on. If I pop out of the app to answer a call/text or even lock the screen for a second and come back it will crash. I really like the app but this is making me want to move on. I left on app for this one but not sure if I will stay with it.

So between every chapter a video ad played as opposed to just regular page ads I’ve seen with most manga type apps. Some ads won’t even let you close out unless you interact with them. I’ve had times where I’ve gone through a whole ad, accidentally clicked exited the chapter instead of changed the page(this isn’t easy to do, I was just absent minded) and when I went back into the chapter I had to watch ANOTHER ad even though I literally just watched one seconds before. The other issue is that going to another chapter can be finicky. Which is particularly frustrating with the video ad thing because a chapter won’t load, I’ll watch an ad to load into a black screen and changing pages doesn’t work, and it won’t work until I fully close out the app and go back, to yet ANOTHER ad that I need to watch to even see if it works. So while I like that they have working tags and you can browse by genre, personally I can see these rather long video ads hurting enjoyment. Alternatives could be just page ads mixed into chapters.

I’ve always loved reading on this app but I can’t even do that all I see is the library just loading I’ve powered off my phone, deleted the app than reinstalled it and even exited the app wait for a few minutes and went back into the app. It still is just loading. I would usually give apps like these a good review but I can’t this time. Please try and fix this issue I don’t want to have to switch it another platform just because I can’t read the manga comics on yours

My app stopped working and the only way for me to be able to use it again was for me to delete it and redownload it. I lost all the manga I bookmarked and I can’t remember the names of them all. I enjoy this app and it’s the only one that allows me to read manga for free (with the exception of the no adds, which I bought and it is very useful). Is there anyway for me to get my bookmarked manga back. I never expected my app would crash like that for as long as it was crashing so I didn’t come up with a backup plan for it. Can one of the app creators please help me with this issue so I can continue reading my favorite mangas and webtoons.

So I just got MangaBat and I have to say that it is incredible! So many manga that I have been planning on reading is right before my eyes and I don’t even have to pay for it! there are many little things that make this app great such as the ability to choose how to turn pages in a manga whether it be up or down, left or right, etc, My only issue with MangaBat is the fact that it has adds but to be frank it’s totally worth it seeing as to how I get to read so much manga FOR FREE! And even if you can’t stand the ads all you have to do is pay for them to be removed!

I give MangaBat a 10/10.

All things considered this manga app is pretty good! The library is pretty large and the search system/filter is fantastic. One thing I’m nitpicky about is how it saves the reading spot for every single chapter you’ve read. I like to reread manga a lot and there isn’t a really smooth way of going back to the beginning of a chapter without manually scrolling there. And if I want to reread multiple chapters? I just give up. I’d like it if you could save the reading spot of the chapter I’m currently reading and restarting the ones I’m not back to page 1. Thank you 🩷

I used it for about 2 weeks with ads and just recently just spent the $10 to not get ads. There is tons of manga and manhwas on it and you can save them for later (it also tells you when it updates!). The ads, while short and skippable, did get a bit annoying after a while as some chapters had extraneous x.1, x.2, etc, so you would get multiple ads in a row while trying to skip to the next chapter. The $10 was well worth it imo. I also love how you can choose to read manga in a swipe left/right fashion instead of the basic scrolling, that’s a really nice touch and allows for you to actually understand what your reading easier. 

Overall, really great, highly recommend.

Wonderful app, I use it daily.  As of late on my iPhone, it crashes when I read a new comic on the app.  Then when I restart the app, it crashes again on the same comic over and over, even on different comics.  Not sure if I need to update my iOS, but it’s been happening the last 4 weeks.  If anyone else is experiencing this problem, I would love to know.  It might be a mini glitch, but it is getting quite frustrating these last few weeks.  Other than that, love the app, and it’s really well developed.

Hello author, I have just recently downloaded the app and used it but I love it so much. I have already gotten a version with ads-free for this manga app. Almost all of the titles i love was found in the app, so I never want to lose it ever again. I am wondering if you would consider adding an additional sign-in/log-in function for this app. So that once logged in, your favorite mangas can be saved and shared on multiple devices. This way the users do not have to manually find/add the manga they love if they happen to change to a new phone. Please give this suggestion a well contemplation.

I love your app! I read nearly everything here. But would it be possible to do an update that fixes the manga from resetting where you left off reading it? I read a lot of manga on here but after reading some new ones the olds one I read will lose there place. Pleaseee do and update to fix this.

Great app. Has all the titles. And if you opt for the 9.99 up charge, no ads. Hard to find an app that first of all, has the library and second of all, allows for a no ad experience. If you’re an avid reader, 9.99 should not be a problem to pay for unlimited no ad experience. Sometimes the pages are a little zoomed out, but you can always zoom in. All in all, does the job, no complaints.

This app is incredible for manga readers. This app is super easy to use and it has a wide variety of things to read. I’m in love with this app. And the best of this is that it’s free!! But one down side that I found in this app is that sometimes the manga that I have added to my favorite list the chapters that I have already seen of the mangas don’t appear in green. It like resets making me loose track of where I was at. But besides that everything is amazing!

I appreciate the developers who have made made this app possible. But literally every time I attempt to use MangaBat it always unexpectedly crashes. I’m well aware that this is a normal bug in the app that some users are experiencing, so I’ll be looking for other alternatives until this is fixed. Again thanks for creating the app
