### 1/5 — Buggy, Gateway lite power not showing correctly

*2026-08-02*

The app itself is pretty buggy and the pairing and connecting of devices can be difficult. The biggest problem, however, is that the gateway lite does not show in the app correctly. The gateway will show correct information when you click it, but the inverters are not binding properly and receiving the power information. This is necessary for the gateway to control the anti-back-flow mechanisms and will not work without it. Pictures from the App Store here do not show any pages where the Home Screen of the app correctly shows power consumption, grid use, etc.

### 1/5 — Wi-Fi

*2026-07-04*

I have 4 SSIDs in my home and over 100 devices. This app refuses to connect to any of SSIDs even if I isolate the SSID to 2.4Ghz. It either times out or immediately returns to “Start Configuration”. Should have gone with EcoFlow. Had no issue with their app.

### 1/5 — Terrible App-update made it worse

*2026-03-30*

Update has really caused problems with app and made it far worse. Ridiculous dongle error keeps popping up and you lose connectivity to the mango e constantly.
Keeps dropping my devices. Everything will work fine for a time, then the Mango Es will show offline. You can unlink them from the app, uninstall the app, reinstall the app, and find the units in the app to re-link them…AND… they will still display as offline. Every time this happens, I must go out to the Mangos, power them off, and then back on. Sometimes this doesn’t work and I have to futz around with a bunch of nonsense to get the Mangos to show in the app again.

### 3/5 — Good start, but missing automation features for real savings

*2026-03-16*

The app does what it needs to for basic monitoring. On a daily basis, the app allows manual switching between AC Output and Backup modes and check battery capacity, which is valuable. However, it's missing the automation features that would unlock this system's true potential for cutting electricity costs.
Critical missing features:
- No iOS Shortcuts support for scheduling mode changes
- No home automation integration (HomeKit, etc.)

Without either of these, I have to manually switch modes twice daily. Automating this on a schedule is essential for maximizing savings talking 50%+ reductions in electricity bills.

Other needed improvements:

Can't select Mango Power units by name (only serial number)
No side-by-side status view for multiple E units
These make managing multiple devices unnecessarily difficult

I really want to love this app and give it 5 stars. The hardware is excellent, but the software is holding it back from being a true energy management solution. Please prioritize automation support either iOS Shortcuts OR home automation integration. This would transform the app from a simple monitor into an actual money-saving tool. Happy to beta test if you're working on these features!

**Developer response:** Thank you for your highly valuable suggestions. We will carefully evaluate and discuss them.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-03-14*

In the day and age we live in there’s no valid excuse for having such a useless app. You can’t even do a firmware update which should be plenty easy, nor does it offer notifications as to when the power grid is down and the battery kicks in, or if there is a fault that needs to be corrected. I suggest Mango Power ups their game and fixes the app so that it can actually assist the user.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-02-13*

Battery is good quality but the app is horrible and now I can’t even use WIFI control (control AC DC outputs, monitor it when not home). Paid too much for this battery to not have a functioning app. The app worked until a day or two ago, now when it opens (logged out, due to trying to reinstall and try everything possible) it just says “Network error.” Waste of over 1,200 dollars.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-02-06*

This fails at doing the only thing I need it to do: NOTIFY ME WHEN THE POWER WENT OUT SO THAT I CAN MANAGE ENERGY CONSUMPTION ACCORDINGLY. Please update app. HOW HARD CAN IT BE IN THE AGE OF AI?

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2026-02-04*

Keeps dropping my devices. Everything will work fine for a time, then the Mango Es will show offline. You can unlink them from the app, uninstall the app, reinstall the app, and find the units in the app to re-link them…AND… they will still display as offline. Sometimes this doesn’t work and I have to futz around with a bunch of nonsense to get the Mangos to show in the app again.

### 1/5 — No documentation, many functions don’t work

*2024-06-28*

This has got to be one of the worst apps I have ever seen. There is no user manual, and no explanation of the many, many vague terms. I figured maybe the company that produced it would know how to use it, so I called their help line. They could not provide me with a user manual, and none of their suggestions did any good. Functions not working - that’s pretty self-explanatory, but I’ll add this; the inverter says there are no solar panels (there are 48), the batteries discharged down to zero even though I set it to stop at 5%, and they won’t recharge, off the panels or off the grid, even though I have set the parameters to do so.

### 2/5 — App is VERY rudimentary

*2023-05-18*

The app basically reports the data available on the resort on the device only. No graphs of input output data, no longterm data, no ability to control timing of grid charging of battery. Very disappointing.
