What's New in ManGo

7.1

July 17, 2026

v7.1 adds new ways to keep up with your anime and manga, with a new Next Episode sort option and an Up Next screen on Apple Watch. New: - My List: a new 'Next Episode' sort option puts the anime airing soonest at the top (works with both MyAnimeList and AniList) - Apple Watch: a new 'Up Next' screen shows everything you're currently watching and reading in one place (actions require ManGo+) Improved: - 'New Episode' notifications for AniList shows now use each episode's exact airing time and follow the real weekly schedule, instead of estimating from the premiere date - Notification cover images now refresh when a show's artwork changes or when you switch your primary service - You can now tap a status in the Settings-tab's 'Manga Statistics' section to see all the manga in that list, just like you already could for anime - More actions throughout the app, including swipe actions and appearance settings, now give haptic feedback - The 'On-Hold' status now shows as 'Paused' throughout the app when AniList is your primary service, matching AniList's own terminology - Several networking improvements Fixed: - Fixed the 'New Episode' notification toggle sometimes not turning on for currently airing shows when AniList is your primary service - Fixed an issue where the Voice Actor list would sometimes not load

Great app

One of the most well made iOS apps I’ve used

Suffers From Its Reliance on MyAnimeList for Manga Data

While MyAnimeList is reliable as a source of anime updates, its manga updates lag behind. For instance, this app has little data about the total chapters/volumes available. Only with huge names like Vagabond does it show that information. Meanwhile, even Chainsaw Man gets the question mark in place of total chapters available.

I would give this app four stars, but because it advertises itself as a Manga Tracker, I rate it on the value it purports to provide.

It is pretty reliable on Anime Tracking because MAL is reliable on that front, but it needs to find a separate source for manga tracking. Primarily, I wish for a singular place to be notified of new chapters for all the manga I’m tracking.

Lovely App

Great UI and reasonable membership prices and a lifetime option which is much appreciated

Feature Needed

This app is very beautiful and seems so much simpler to use than what I'm currently on.

I would really love to see an online profile that people can see my lists and progress even if they don't have an account.
Also needs a way to both import and export our anime and manga lists.

Response from developer

Hi, thanks for the review! I’m a bit confused by the one star though, as you’re saying you like the app! As for the profiles: I think you can just link your MAL profile URL with others, that should work! For the import and export, please mail me with what you’d like to be exported and in what format. - Joost

Not for me.

There’s no ability to access the forums and I already have anime trackers I prefer. Kitsune for MAL and AniClient for anilist.
