## What is Manifold?

Dots are scattered across the dark. They look random but they're not.

Every dot has a mirror partner on the other side of a hidden line. The line could be vertical, diagonal, or any angle. Your job is to find it.

One swipe. You draw the line you think fits best.

The closer your line is to the true axis, the more pairs match up. Matched dots pull together, merge on your line, and sing. Each pair adds a note. The more you get right, the richer the sound, the brighter the light.

Get them all and you hear the full chord every voice present, the screen blazing with color along your line. Miss a few and the chord still plays, but thinner. You can hear the gaps. The dots you missed dim quietly on their own.

There is no fail state. A rough guess still makes something beautiful. The difference between close and perfect isn't a score it's what you hear and see and feel.

Your brain is already wired for this. Symmetry detection is one of the oldest tricks in the human visual system. Manifold turns that instinct into a game. You don't solve it with logic. You feel where the line belongs, then you commit.

SOUND
Paired dots sing consonant intervals. The final chord is built from every pair you matched. Headphones recommended.

VISUALS
Neon dots pulse against deep black. The two sides of the hidden line glow in complementary colors. When pairs meet, they burst white-hot then settle into color along your line. What's left is a painting your painting that holds for a moment before the next round appears.

DESIGN
No menus during play. No HUD. No timer. No tutorial. Your score is the light on the line, the fullness of the chord, the pulse in your hand. The game teaches itself.

PROCEDURAL
Every round is unique. The hidden axis can be any angle. Early rounds are gentle with few dots, obvious symmetry. As you improve, the fields get denser, the angles stranger, the symmetry harder to see. Difficulty adapts to you silently.
