Downloaded the app and this evening tried to book a taxi to Portland Street. First thing was I couldn't just select the street, I had to also supply a number. Not great. Then when I did actually progress through after choosing 1 Portland Street, the only address found was in Oldham OL6! Gave up trying and went to a local mini cab office. Not a great start guys. Are you getting any bookings at all? ### 1/5 — Can't register *2013-10-11, version 3.0* There's no button in the registration form to proceed any further. The UI is particularly poor and has been put together with no design. Manchester deserves better! ### 1/5 — Worst App Ever *2013-07-28, version 2.2* 1 star is very generous! Don't even bother with this app if you want to get home. I booked 4 taxis through it and not 1 turned up successfully!! Worst taxi app ever! ### 1/5 — Don't bother *2013-06-09, version 2.2* Pretty terrible in its design and I just tried the iHail feature and waited over 20 mins, no taxi. Also the taxis are more expensive than other firms like Manchester Cars, Olympic or Street Cars. Then the confirmation says cab booked for 4:40am. What's that all about, FAIL! Unreliable. ### 1/5 — Don’t use the app *2021-11-02, version 4.3.1* Don’t use the app - I booked in advance and it confirms it’s booked and then at the time you’ve booked the app says it’s searching for a taxi. Rang up for them to tell me they have no taxis in the area! ### 1/5 — App no longer works *2019-09-25, version 4.3.1* This is a reasonable taxi firm with a terrible app. It's always been intermittent. Now it hasn't worked for 3 weeks straight. If the firm was better they'd have wondered why bookings were down and got the app fixed. ### 1/5 — A booking isn't really a booking *2016-10-19, version 4.3.1* I booked two taxis for the next day, one for 8.20 to take me to a meeting and one to take me to the airport later. App worked fine and both bookings accepted - so far so good. In the morning, I got a notification that the booking had been accepted, but the app didn't show any cars nearby. Eventually (2 mins overdue), a taxi showed on the map at 1 min away. Then 2 mins away. Then 5 mins away. Called Mantax and they told me that as app doesn't show destination, drivers don't accept bookings in busy times. Taxi never came. Obviously, I cancelled the later booking too. A booking is not a booking with Mantax. ### 1/5 — Never worked *2016-04-15, version 4.0.1* Absolutely bobbins. The app never works and the firm are absolutely awful. Without a doubt the worst taxi firm in Manchester. ### 1/5 — Poor *2015-07-12, version 4.0.0* Poorly designed app. It sent the taxi to the wrong address, had to spend 10 minutes directing the guy to where I was. Then when he arrived it was a black cab, so I paid £10 for a journey that costs £5 in a minicab. Nice idea, but no. ### 1/5 — Unable to register *2015-03-24, version 3.1.4* The app requires registration before use; unfortunately it seizes up whenever I try to select my card type so I'm unable to use it. ### 1/5 — No longer works for future bookings. *2014-11-05, version 3.1.1* Was great until last iOS update. ### 1/5 — Hopeless *2014-09-05, version 3.1.1* Cancelled my taxi to the airport with 10 mins to spare. App works great and they have taxis every where around greater Manchester .They never let me down, Thanks Mantax. ### 2/5 — Still a poor app *2023-06-12, version 4.3.1* App is too reliant on the location services feature, and doesn't allow the user to search for an exact address, only a postcode, which is imprecise. Phone line now non-responsive, so will have to look elsewhere for taxi services. Disappointing. ### 2/5 — Poor support and updates *2014-11-13, version 3.1.4* The support for this app is non existent. Since iOS 8 future bookings are no longer possible. You are better off ringing. ### 2/5 — Not sure yet *2013-08-08, version 3.0* App wants you to register contact details before explaining terms and how your details might be used so clarification on this before registering would be useful. Two addresses of buildings I work from on main roads in Manchester were not recognised when I tried to add them as favourites. I tried the app because was recommended to me so really hope it's me/app error.
