It can definitely see a big improvement when I go to the range for live fire. I can’t say enough about how helpful the feedback is for diagnosing grip and trigger issues ### 3/5 — Good until recent update *2026-06-14, version 8.5.1* Pretty good but took away trigger control. Seems like an odd training to remove. Also, I paid for for the hardware which makes the software possible and yet, you still need my contact info. Les progrès sont notables et indiscutables. C’est donc un excellent coach électronique qui aidera à faire des progrès en supplément de l’entraînement standard. Pour ma part le seul souci - mineur - que j’ai pu rencontrer, c’est soit la non-détection de tirs à sec 9mm ou la détection de faux tirs en réel à l’air comprimé. Le support clients est très réactif, mais même s’ils ont réussi à me donner des indications pour réduire mes soucis, cela n’a pas été complètement résolu. ### 5/5 — I love it *2026-01-20* I do a lot of dry fire practice so this is actually really good for me. It’s surprising the amount of information I can get and even though use Bluetooth, you can still listen to music with it which I think is cool even through earbuds. My only complaint is that sometimes I cannot recognize the difference between a shot and racking a charger handle but other than that, I have absolutely zero compliance. ### 3/5 — Not suitable for double action *2025-08-25, version 8.2.1* sporadically picks up shots with a double action pistol. Also needs to be a function to skip lessons. ### 5/5 — My first MantisX didn’t work *2025-07-30* My first MantisX didn’t work but, Mantis sent me a new one. Very few questions were asked and had me back dry firing within a few days. They really stand behind their product and, the customer support is better than any company I’ve ever used. The dry firing and, live firing have helped me correct a lot of bad habits that I have. I know every once in a while i get a weird reading but, 99% of the time it gets a good reading even if I don’t like what it says. I am happy to see a company out there that is trying to get people the best training without having to spend as much money on the range and on shells. ### 5/5 — Hard to believe *2025-07-29, version 8.1.3* It’s really hard to believe this app is free it’s worth so much money ### 2/5 — Constantly crashes *2025-06-27, version 8.1.3* Even after deleting and reinstalling, this app is constantly crashing when I try to open it. It worked for a little while and it seems it could be a very effective tool for dry firing if it worked. I had to return the hardware, as it is useless without this app. ### 1/5 — App crashing non-stop *2025-06-24, version 8.1.2* Just got the mantis x-10 when the app works it’s great but for some reason when you leave the app and try to open the app again it constantly crashes. Not allowing me to open the app at all. ### 5/5 — Must have for shooters *2025-06-04* Great tool and great app. A bit expensive, but compared to the ammo you’ll be saving, it’s a no brainer. The progresses made in the first sessions are truly amazing.
