### 3/5 — Counter Alarm

*2025-04-21, version 3.10*

Der Counteralarm ist nur zu hören wenn die App im Vordergrund ist.

### 3/5 — Great for learning

*2023-11-06*

Has my camera and lenses. Not all calculators have complete information, ie: app is lacking settings for the star stills etc. I would love to see info for macro situations with reverse rings or extension tubes as well.

### 4/5 — Simple with great design & watch app

*2020-02-05, version 2.9*

Love the UI, simple UX, and a convenient extension through the watch app for timer

### 3/5 — Great App, but filter selection broken

*2017-10-20, version 2.9*

Although I have added specific Hoya filters to my equipment, the ND filter calculator ownly shows me the standard unnamed filters, but not the selected filters from my equipment. Please fix it and you‘ll get 5 stars.

### 3/5 — Needs a better lens database

*2016-06-16, version 2.3*

For $5 it's pretty lacking, there is not one Minolta lens either. You can request lenses via email but I wouldn't hold your breath. It should at the very least allow you to add in your lenses manually, and enter the specifications yourself if it's not in their database.

In the info section it offers links for tips for taking pictures of the moon and such, it would be much better if the tips were in-app or at the very least, the links open in Safari View Controller so it doesn't pull you out of the app.

Native iPad support would be nice as well.

But it is well designed and looks nice, unlike most other dslr guide/calculator apps. Apple Watch integration is always a plus as well.

### 2/5 — Can't take pics?

*2014-04-15, version 1.0.8*

I guess this is just a five-dollar guide. Useful I suppose if you are using another camera, but this does not do what I wanted which was: to take pics with manual exposure. I want my money back! Contacting Amex to dispute.

### 1/5 — What a joke!

*2022-05-25, version 3.9*

Downloaded the app to try it out and every thing is locked out until you purchase it. No chance of trying it first. Don’t waste your time on this.

### 1/5 — You have to pay for the features

*2021-05-14, version 3.7*

Not worthy

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-09-04*

Downloaded this app today, but not able to add equipment at all. Keep getting message telling me to check my internet connection (it is connected and working), then when trying to access the website through the Help menu, it just freezes.

I guess that is $10 down the drain...

### 1/5 — Can’t add any thing in to My Set

*2018-11-25, version 2.9*

when i try to add Camera , Lenses , and ND Filter , it says “ Loading Failed check your internet connection , But nothing is wrong with my connection. So i think some thing is wrong with this fake app.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2018-11-04, version 2.9*

You should be able to load your equipment but all I get is an error message telling me to check my internet connection. My internet is fine, it is the app that doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Won’t let me add equipment.

*2018-10-30, version 2.9*

I get a connection error every time I try and add my gear.

### 2/5 — Broken now in iOS13

*2020-04-11, version 2.9*

Such a shame :( This WAS a really great app but it simply stopped working. There’s no way to add cameras and lenses to a new set. Nothing happens when I tap on them. Therefore the app is far less useful than it was. Please fix it!

UPDATE: see dev response. I checked again this morning in Dark Mode and the camera selections were visible and worked ok creating a new set. Pleased to find that was just an OS issue! However, I still can’t EDIT a set. When I tap a camera, instead of toggling it, it goes to the details page. It’s as if it’s forgotten it’s in Edit mode. I hope you get this working as I really like the app and want to be able to recommend it to others. Thanks for the response!

### 2/5 — No new bodies or lenses!

*2019-06-03, version 2.9*

Use to be a great app while it was being actively updated with new bodies and lenses! Look elsewhere now!!!

### 2/5 — Good app. Slow to add new bodies and lenses

*2017-06-09, version 2.8*

The app looks great and is very simple to use but despite receiving acknowledgements months ago that a number of newer Olympus and panalumix bodies and lenses were being added they are still not here. Feels like the dev has given up.

... and months later in June 17 there's still no update

### 2/5 — Grundsätzlich gut, aber...

*2015-04-24, version 2.0.9*

Die App ist grundsätzlich sehr schön und intuitiv zu bedienen.

Aber leider ist sie NUR Online zu verwenden! Sobald man in einer tollen Landschaft verschwindet in der es kein Internet gibt, ist die App funktionslos!

SEHR SCHADE!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 5 stars for quality product and good support

*2021-04-13, version 3.7*

I have purchased full version since 2015 and after 6 years I give it a 5-stars review. I’m really impressed with the hard work to make this app better and better.

Please keep it up 👍
Thank you.

### 5/5 — App hasn’t been updated in a year

*2018-11-23, version 2.9*

This App was very good when it was released. Unfortunately the developers seem to have lost interest in it now. It has not been updated in many months. I am unable to create sets, load my equipment and filters etc. The App says it can’t find an Internet connection which is silly. Many other users have also commented on that issue but it seems unresolved.

### 5/5 — Extremely helpful and useful tool

*2016-06-08, version 2.3*

Hooray! An easy-to-understand app taking the edge off a complex learning curve. The app has excellent help sections that are helping me better understand photography with neutral density filters. I really like the customization to my particular camera, lens(es) and filters. They have done great job with the graphics and functionality. Well worth the investment of money and time!

### 5/5 — Quality Built app... a must have!

*2015-10-19, version 2.2*

This is one of the must have photography tools for any amateur or professional photographer.

The developers have listened and evolve the app on ideas I put forward. Amazing service and app.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2014-04-07, version 1.0.8*

What a great app!! The interface is amazing and there is so much detail on all the different shots it's crazy! I use it for all my shooting

### 5/5 — A very refined and useful app

*2013-11-09, version 1.0.2*

Great app for night photography and use of high density filters (eg Lee Filters Big Stopper). Very well finished interface.
