And the fact that it has a list option view and map view is huge ! Plus I can add notes ,change pin tittle, add photos , contact name and files aside from customizing pins by color if you want to separate departments or multiple organizing for more than one group ! And easily share the pin with the info to someone else . Mind blown ! Being on the board, I had started a spreadsheet and planned to manually write in the GPS coordinates. Was a real problem trying to use a GPS and watching the coordinates change trying to relocate the items, especially those culverts that were overgrown with grass etc. This app allows us to drop a pin and easily drive to it next year to do our inspection. Now, just after we got systems installed this spring, using this app to track where they are across a 200 mile radius…they’re gone again!!! How can such a simple, useful app, be screwed up so easily?! ### 1/5 — Era bom ficou ruim *2024-06-05* Uso o aplicativo a alguns meses, pela ajuda que ele me trouxe pensei até em pagá-lo mas após a última atualização ele rastreia todos movimentos que faço e por conta disso minha bateria parou de durar o dia todo e agora dura em média 4/5 horas por dia, se não o uso durante o dia a bateria dura as 9 horas como sempre durou, acredito que deveria ser uma opção esse rastreamento e não ficar sugando nossos dados a cada passo que damos. **Developer response:** Hello, in theory the app should not be tracking your location in the background all the time, it only tracks your location in the background when you explicitly started recording a GPS track. I have tested this extensively and no other user has reported this issue so far, but I could have missed something. If this is an issue with the app implementation, I would like to have more information so I can fix this, please use the in-app email contact option to report this issue so that we can exchange messages to troubleshoot this, thank you. ### 1/5 — Awful *2023-06-11, version 3.4.0* Everytime the app updates it deletes all my markers and folders. Hard to read, icons vanish and are hard to find again, having to use third party searches is a pain to download, can’t move icons from one map to another. I LOVED this app the way it was. We used this app for maybe 2 years until today. Everything about this update is bad. Please change it back. When you search for a new address it won’t even show your other markers around it until adding it…terrible update. My old markers do still show. They just don’t show when you go to add a new marker until after you add this marker. Which can make very annoying when trying to add them to the right folder/color. **Developer response:** Hello, When updating the app to V3, the V2 data remains unless you uninstall or clear the app data. If data is missing, it might simply be some data migration issue that I can fix. If you want to help me troubleshoot the V3 issue (please send a description and screenshots of your exact problem), I'll look into it and probably fix it in the next few days. I am always struggled to find a way to keep track of all of these locations so that I can just click on and get sent to Google maps and I just drive. This app is mind blowing amazing considering that it’s free. Sebastian has put his soul into this app and after reading the above section on how he did it so that people could have access to something like this for free… made me want to support him even more. This is one of my favourite apps and, being a tech guy who has spent the last 20+ years in the IT industry… what he has created was only possible with an extraordinary amount of personal effort. This is one of those apps that I would gladly pay $4.99 or more just to have this convenience. Some apps are very appealing with the appearance but some crucial features were missing. Some apps are simply overpriced for no reason. Final came across Map Marker. The best feature I love the most is its web counterpart. I could edit and finalise all the date, places etc in big screen and I could import to iPhone. Also whenever I visit a friends home or a restaurant, I could save that location in fraction of a second and I could share with friends or family in no time. Some apps dong have a backup option. But with App Marker, I could fake a backup and restore easily. If you are also looking for a map marking or location saving app, definitely give a try.
