I eventually gave up on it because it was so often either pause or simply stop for reasons that I couldn't determine so that he walk was registered. Recently I resubscribed again, hoping that it had improved. It had not. But a second walk I found halfway through that it is stopped recording. Extremely frustrating! I have it as a 14 day trial. Unless it improves I'm going to give it up again. I have an alternative app that only records my steps but does it completely consistently. I have come to rely on this. Yet the total distance I walked shows anywhere between 3.8 and 5.5 miles on this app. I’ve used this app for years simply because I’m too cheap to pay for anything better, and it does provide a little information…. in my jacket pocket the device reads 3.8 miles. In my pants pocket it reads 5.5 miles… for the exact same route! As a result, the miles per hour and other information is all way off too. If you’re at all serious about collecting accurate information, find something else. This is fine if you’re just having fun, and the numbers don’t matter. It’s really just another advertising vehicle with bogus challenges from sports companies trying to sell you something. ### 1/5 — Why the forced update?!? *2026-08-28, version 25.8.1* Out of the blue, the app demands an update. Unfortunately the update requires IOS16, which my iPhone7 won’t run, so now I can’t use it at all. Why force it? It was running perfectly well but now I can’t use it at all. So angry.
