I however did not give it a 5 star because I would like to have the ability to make custom sessions. For example I struggle with islands. But recently I met a problem, I can’t see my ranking, even my history ranking. I tried to delete and reinstall the app and I tried to change different wifi but none of these worked. Every time I tapped the ranking button, it just kept crashing and forced out. Fully recommend it if you’re interested in trying to remember where countries are located. Having a better sense of where everything is also helps make the news make more sense, because you know without looking it up where places are in relation to each other. (Fellow fans should check out Worldle, too—it’s a daily challenge that got me back into geography recently) The only frustrating part is that you can’t turn off the banner at the top flashing a color when you tap on a country. The idea is that it flashes red when you guess incorrectly and it flashes green when you get it right. But when you’re looking at the map, it’s in your peripheral vision—where our eyes see primarily black and white. So, the flashing is actually really distracting, because I keep thinking it’s telling me I was wrong. It really throws me off. I’d be fine with it if it were a little light in the corner that I could cover up, but it’s the background to the name of the next country—I can’t cover that up! If it only flashes when you’re incorrect, that would be fine with me—it’s currently just aggravating. Not a big enough deal to use a different app instead, but still frustrating. For the Developers: One other suggestion—I would love it if it were a little customizable. Specifically, I’d like to be able to turn off seeing country borders that are bordering water, and all country borders on islands. That would make it a little harder, and then I could be better at identifying island nations without their borders included! The dotted lines surrounding them are really great while you’re learning, though. It would also be great to have an option where all countries are already colored in at the start of the quiz. That way, you can’t see what you’ve already found. It would also be nice if there were a suggestions/bugs form we could fill out—this is the only place for feedback that I can find. On the 201 county game I can not see Tonga, Samoa, Nuie and Cook Island. On the 201 country game it will not finish - it glitches, disappears and starts over at random times. I’ve finished it a couple of times but that is all. There is also a short delay after a selection is made. Can you make the country names disappear after you select. Too crowded. Lesotho does not show properly and the name South Africa covers it up. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Record All Scores *2020-09-19, version 3.3* UPDATE: Still not recording scores. Beat my own time several times, does not record times. I’ve rebooted app, turned off/on nothing helps !!! Game is fun— BUT- when you beat your own time, and it doesn’t record your new best times, it defeats the purpose of playing. I would give it a higher rating but there are major errors in the text. When I completed 50 states plus DC and PR, it congratulated me for finding the 52 COUNTRIES. If I was younger or learning this for the first time, I would be confused. I went on to “North America” and it said there were 24 countries. When you click it again, it says there are 24 states and territories. Again, make the text accurate please! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Best for countries, would love to see it expand! *2026-07-07* Love this app, it’s been super helpful for learning countries and states and the simple interface and no ads makes it feel easy and nice to use- now that I’m starting to feel comfortable with countries I’d love to have the option to start learning, say, major cities/capitals or major geographical land features. Thanks for a great app! ### 5/5 — I learned so much, now I can show off *2026-07-01* This app is perfect. No ads, works offline, and easy to understand. There’s a practice mode with unlimited tries and challenge mode with only three mistakes allowed. I like how it splits it up into continents so I can do chunks at a time. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be able to put all the countries on a map. My only wish is that there were territories included as well, or at least another separate set or toggle on or off, since I find myself still a bit lost on those. ### 5/5 — I LOVE IT *2026-06-20* about a year ago I downloaded this because I knew very little geography, and after starting to play again this past week, I know close to all 202! I love the idea of all of the states/districts of countries as well! An idea I had was maybe including country capitals to learn those as well, not that theres absolutely anything wrong with the app as it is, because it’s perfect. No ads, no purchases, easy to use on phone and IPad, and genuinely fun. Before long (a couple hours!!) I was a state location expert. By the next day I had introduced the app to kids in the family and they were hooked! Racing with each other to climb the leaderboard. Even kids who had not yet learned the states in school! It has spread like wildfire through my family and the kids' friends and now everyone is excited to move on to other world areas of the map. What a great way to pass time on trips and waiting rooms. Learning is fun again! (I swear I am not affiliated with the app creators in any way, I just honestly love it and so does my fam!)
