A skeptic review

So I was skeptic that it works based on the reviews. The bad reviews boil down to operator error and not understanding the formulas. So I downloaded and tested the app to check validity.

The formulas I used were:

Pulse pressure (PP) = SBP - DBP
MAP = DBP - 1/3PP

If you do the math on various blood pressures the math checks out and works as expected. The app does the same rounding a person would by hand of .5 goes up and .4 and below stays the same. Don’t believe the bad reviews from a lack of understanding the actual math equations to get these numbers. If you don’t believe me try for yourself. I mean the app is free. See for yourself.

(Disclosure: I am not financially or benefiting in any form from my positive review. Just an ems guy who was looking for a calculator to do the math for me. Saw some bad reviews, and tested it myself to see if it was a trash app or not. )

Hoping this review helps the next guy looking for a MAP calculator.

Incorrect

The results are incorrect. Way low for what it should be.

Finally!!

Finally what we were looking for in EMS!!

Does exactly what it says!

Quickly converts systolic and diastolic blood pressure values to a mean arterial pressure as advertised. Not sure why other reviewers sound confused as to how it works... probably operator error.

Doesn’t do anything

There is no information about how this work. The app either on the Apple Watch or in the iPhone don’t show anything to calculate the blood pressure.
