## What is MapChick's Isla Mujeres?

MapChick's Isla Mujeres is designed to work entirely offline to prevent surprise International roaming charges (external links to Facebook pages, navigation, etc. will use data).
   After downloading the app, you’ll be asked to download our database of information to your device. This allows us to provide frequent updates without the need to download the entire app again.

   Download the free version and start planning your vacation in paradise with a directory of nearly 300 hotels and rental properties (including map locations), plus information about the island, the Cancun airport, ferry service, using pesos, great beach reads, and making phone calls.
   Love what you see in the free version? Upgrade to the paid version and unlock all the attractions and dining experiences this magical island has to offer: Restaurants, 200+; beaches and beach clubs, 30+, attractions and art, 120+; shopping, 100+; services and medical, 90+; transportation, 40+. Plus, each of the above categories includes tips and information to help you get the most from your Caribbean vacation.

Optional app features that will use cellular data roaming or WiFi:
• External links to restaurant menus. We currently have about 50 restaurant menus available for you to explore, but if we downloaded them all to your phone you wouldn't have much storage left for vacation photos.
• Peso converter (included with paid version). This feature requires data to access current exchange rates.
• External links (Example: Facebook, web sites, email, phone calls).
• App updates from the database (WiFi connection recommended).

Purchased this before visiting Isla for the first time in 2022 and we knew more about the Island before we went than family we traveled with who had been there multiple times.  We are going back in 2026 and I know we will use it even more this trip.  I’ve maintained my subscription nonstop and probably always will because it is so interesting and fun to read about all kinds of new things and changes on the island as the app is regularly updated.  Can’t recommend this enough 🫶

We spent a week on the island in February and this app was the best purchase we made! We rented a golf cart for the week and with the map on this app we were able to tour the whole island! The self guided tour was our highlight and we made every stop! We will be back and will continue to use MapChick’s!!

My husband and I have been going to Isla Mujeres for years so we know a lot about the island. However, since finding this app I can’t live without it. It has everything you could ever want to know about everything on the island. From restaurant menus to medical services, from local charities to local attractions this app has it all. The app creators personally walk the island multiple times a year and find a the hidden places.
If you are considering purchasing this app do it now! You won’t regret it.

Well, this app does seem helpful, and I do like the different categories of information, it does require a membership to access all the features, which I feel is unnecessary after already buying the app. So someone traveling to Isla just once probably won’t want to do that.

This is my second time visiting Isla and my friend recommended this app.  We loved it.  The ease of use and especially filtering by location is a huge help. The organization of the app links are intuitive. And easy to navigate.  The app provides so many suggestions and the live maps are priceless when driving to love places. It helped up navigate a family of 7 people over the entire island.  The search feature works seamlessly and were able to search for specific things like ice cream, food trucks, and ceviche.  This app by MapChicks is a must have if you are visiting Isla Mujeres.  Thank you Laura and Perry.

I had the paper version of the map that I purchased about 13 years ago. Much has changed on la Isla. The app is absolutely worth the cost X 10. We followed the recommendations for food and it was spot on. Caribbean Garden, Javi’s Cantina, Caribbean Brisas and Rancho Capricho were our favorites that we tried. Rancho Capricho was our #1. It’s a definite must try and a true hidden gem! It was hard to not keep going back over and over, because we wanted to try other places, but it was excellent for lunch and breakfast. Great margaritas there too. We tried to stay away from eating on the north end, because there’s so many good spots away from town. Javi’s was good, but not as good as the others we tried. We stayed at Isla 33 in unit 3104 (it’s one of the inits managed by Capi) and it was excellent! Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus. It was safe and in a great location. It was well equipped, clean and the perfect place for us.

We always purchased the new maps prior to staying on the island.  The app is amazing and helped us to find new gems, golf carts and beach clubs. When you think you know everything already this app comes in handy. The golf cart tour is great and we found all the places we have missed on past trips. I highly recommend.

Ordered 3 pizza plus two pasta dishes pizzas came out no pasta after 20 minutes inquired about the pasta and another 10 minutes we got them with a hair in one of the dishes it’s sad I loved the place under the previous owner was looking for a great meal but hair in my food just makes me sick
