## What is MAPGEARS Streets?

Streets Assistant give you a bird's eye view of your operations, simplify your management tasks, and provide a direct communication channel with drivers and customers. The Operations Manager makes routes and assigned them to drivers while also giving a real-time overview of current operations status for informed decision-making.  This Mobile Assistant provides drivers with a simple overview of their assigned route and progress through the embarked tablet inside of each vehicle.  It gives access to the following features:

► View, create, and edit observations that have multiple attributes;
► Real-time streets status of your assigned area;
► Use different base maps including Operational map layers;
► Operations can now gain real-time observations from the streets and status of the vehicles;

This application is particularly useful for newer garbage collectors, as well as those operating in unfamiliar service areas. Its straightforward design and simple functionality make it easy to use and navigate.

The app could be further improved by allowing users to assign themselves to specific routes or maps, with appropriate authorization from a supervisor or the designated route owner.

In some cases—particularly within newer, densely designed subdivisions—the app may occasionally glitch and mark streets as completed before they have actually been serviced. A practical enhancement would be to provide users with the ability to manually adjust route progress, including undoing or clearing streets, whether due to device errors or support from a helper driving the route.

Additionally, incorporating directional arrows to indicate the path traveled would significantly enhance the app’s usability and overall effectiveness.

I love the % feature on the admin side of things.  this app is great for drivers switching routes mid day. Allows drivers to see what each other are doing to prevent any wasted time.
