It takes a lot of time and at least 2 or 3 tries to “may” get a solution. Really disappointed, given that the app has been so helpful until the last update. Desktop Maple could do it readily. The Maple Calculator is difficult to figure out because of a lack of documentation. I take my notes in landscape view and when I need to use this app I have to rotate my iPad, select this app, and lose sight of my notes. Not super useful when you have something complex to input. And, the letter (abc) menu item does not present an onscreen keyboard to enter any letters either, so you are totally stuck without the ability to input letters to represent constants in your equations. It used to be much, much better, but with the Maple app’s new UI in the last few months, it has become awful. ### 1/5 — Advertised as useful, but useless in practice. *2023-12-21* When trying to take a photo in the app the camera quality appears to blurry, and a picture cannot be taken. Would you please let us know which questions it has gotten wrong so that we can investigate further? ### 1/5 — Almost useless with the Iphone *2023-06-05* Entering an equation by typing has been a frustrating experience, if not impossible, here’s why: no spacebar, no “:”, no “;”, virtually very limited punctuation marks. typing words have to be done with twice the effort because the default mode is the calculator pad (switches everytime we type a letter). Maybe app is not suited for the iphones which have very limited keyboard real estate. **Developer response:** We’re sorry to hear that, and we will work to improve this experience. No offense to Maplesoft, as I’m sure it was overlooked and all of the other Maplesoft products I own are amazing. When using the iPad Pro with the “magic keyboard” it becomes clunky to have to either rotate the entire iPad Pro attached to the magic keyboard or remove it from the magic keyboard magnetic base and then rotate. Both of these are of course minimal things to do however each time you have to do this there is a potential to drop the device. Another reviewewer mentioned this a year ago, and the developer response on Aug 27(which I’m assuming is from the year 2021) was that it was in development. How much longer until we get something as simple as landscape availability?? Once landscape mode is added this becomes a 5 star review, until then it is much easier to use the “Wolfram Cloud” app to run a Mathematica notebook or just use wolframalpha.com through the browser. ### 1/5 — Does not work for iPad, why does this not work for iPad ? *2021-02-22* Screen rotation when using a keyboard for the iPad does not work on the ipad but it works on the cell phone. Why? Coding the orientation of the display for the calculator on the iPad is simple...why does this function not exist when you are using the iPad stand and keyboard.
