I have to now type in a desired location to find it now. Looks like the app has changed. Being able to look at other dropped locations helps me navigate in my work. Unfortunately it seems as though the upgrade to iOS 15 has created a bug in some of the purchased options such as choice of pin color. I can no longer change the default name of pins. This is a huge problem. I tried to delete and reinstall the app, but now I cannot even unlock the advanced features I already paid for. There is no way that I can find to contact the developer except if they actually read reviews, so for now I will have to leave a poor review, which is unfortunate because this used to be a very useful app. Here’s hoping they can fix it. ### 3/5 — Please update the maps plus system to iOS 14 *2020-10-02, version 3.5* App doesn’t work properly especially after update to iOS 14 The app needs to catch the update iOS 14 as it has gone nuts again like yrs ago some user has complained. I am not here to talk down about the app. I use it and relay on it a lot. But now it comes up very slowly, it freezes as soon as you click on the bookmark section, have tried deleting the app and reloaded multiple times still didn’t get far. Apple and app developer has tried their hard to make money but I have paid my good money to use the phone and this app that hasn’t failed. ### 1/5 — For an editing app, failing to open tracks is a fatal flaw *2020-05-20, version 3.5* Short and sad story: Bought the app 1 minute after failing to see how to import a file on the demo version. After buying it, I used Files to “Copy to Maps+” the track I want to edit (created by a Garmin Foretrex). A Nike-like checkmark happily tells me I succeeded, but the track comes up EMPTY. And as we all know, it is hard to edit an EMPTY track. :( Edited the track on the web to clean it up of extensions, using GPSVisualizer.com... Still nothing. Maps+ still imports an empty track ??? I am hoping I can get some help before I ask for my money back? And no, I don’t use Twitter. And I will not use it just to get support on the app. Please help. Having used this app for many years I have just noticed there is no iCloud back up support. I hate to admit this but I use 2 phones when I travel and I just noticed that in doing so I have pinned numerous things in the different phones that unfortunately are not on both. Any chance of a solution? I like the functionality of this app however why in the world would you only allow Support through a platform that requires membership? After 3 days all of my old bookmarks reappeared. It was almost biblical. Where in cyberspace they went in those 3 days I don’t know. But we are back to five stars. I just wish the developer Would add a color wheel so there was more than just seven colors to pick from. Revised December 2019 1 Star - I loved this app. Used it for years. Noticed today there was an update so took advantage of it. Immediately all of my bookmarks / pins were erased. Over 600 lost. All the work that went into that. Whatever you do don’t update your application. Or better yet just don’t use it Love the app for marking travel locations. Use a different color for every year. But we need more colors. 7 aren’t enough. I’m running one map on my iPad and an older one on my iPhone. Will additional pin colors and/or custom pin icons be included in any future update? ### 5/5 — Finally! *2019-04-11, version 3.4* Thank you for creating a functional gps with the tilt-pan combined with realistic satellite imagery that follows me while I’m in motion. So many other iOS map apps have utterly failed to convince me to keep their app on my phone because of the reasons that I’ve stated earlier. Keep developing it in this direction and you’ll keep my business for when you release paid product services in the future. I’m most likely one of the few individuals that can bi-pass my oem navigation system to screen mirror my phone on my well hardware equipped oem Nav system via iphone6 - lightning to av over hdmi with my vehicles oem hdmi input port. These apps make the driving experience way more efficient and ironically, I spend less time messing with my phone because I can see a wider range of the map while in motion and can act quicker when making navigation decisions. ### 5/5 — Helpfulness *2019-01-03, version 3.4* Simply superb! I opened it up today and was so happy ### 5/5 — Best app if you need multiple pins *2016-12-06, version 3.0.2* If you need multiple pins on a map, this is the app!!! I used to have a laptop mounted in the vehicle with Delorme Maps until this app came out a few years ago. Then I switched to an ipad mounted in the vehicle. Much better on space and usability. I typically have 15 to 40 addresses to go to each day. The ability to place pins on a map and have a graphical interface to look at when planning my route saves me a lot of time. I have never used route planning on any of the map software I have used as I know my territory very well and can do better with my local knowledge of where traffic bottlenecks are at different times of the day, construction, which shortcuts are good, etc. Sometimes due to interuptions, or rushes, I have to adjust my route. Very easy for me to do without having to change the route on the software. The big deal to me and my fellow co-workers who use the program is being able to easily add and delete pins to the map based on our workload. I actually liked the old version 1.3.6 only because of the graphical interface. It had a grayish background and the roads were easier with the contrast. The newer version has a better interface. Easier and a bit more intuitive to use. It appears they dropped the routing feature which I don't use anyway. Since the IOS 10 update, I have lost seeing the buildings in the Standard view in all versions of the app. Obviously you can see it in Satellite view but I prefer the less cluttered look of the Standard view which is also easier to read the street names.
