No internet connection. No servers. No analytics. No tracking. Everything the keyboard does happens locally, using on-device processing only.


PRIVACY BY DESIGN

### 2.43 — 2026-07-21

• Smarter language switching. The keyboard no longer jumps to the wrong
  language mid-word, so a German sentence stays German even when it
  contains everyday English words like "App", "Team" or "Meeting" - and
  your typo still gets corrected in the right language.

• Better corrections, especially for missed letters. Corrections are now
  chosen by a single, sharper ranking, which makes suggestions noticeably
  more accurate when you skip a letter or swap two around.

• More reliable capitalization. German nouns get capitalized correctly
  even at the start of a sentence right after typing in another language.

• Long-press a suggestion for more options. Remove a learned word, clear
  its pairings, block a word, or switch its capitalization - and your
  choice sticks.

• Personal Info. Save details you type often and insert them with a tap,
  with optional automatic capture of your email address.

• Turkish, German and English dictionaries refreshed, plus a smoother,
  more responsive typing experience throughout.

New features

- One-handed keyboard mode — new quick-action button (off by default, add it via Quick Action Row customization) shifts the keys toward your left or right thumb; a chevron in the empty gap returns to full width. Portrait-only, per-device setting (deliberately not iCloud-synced). Localized in de/es/fr/tr.
- Key press preview balloon — system-style enlarged character shown above the pressed key, mirroring the press tint exactly (including fast taps). Default ON, toggle under Behavior → Feedback. iPhone only, zero per-keystroke allocation.
- Swipe-left scrub deletion — swiping left on a key now deletes one character per 18pt of drag, fully reversible (drag back right to restore what you deleted), with a haptic per character. A sustained fast flick or 200pt of travel escalates one-way into the existing accelerating bulk delete. On-key swipe-delete is now free.
- Configurable key appearance — new Layout → Key Corner Radius setting (default 8pt) plus a subtle keycap depth shadow and restyled special-character labels.

Improvements

- Landscape keyboard finally shrinks — rows drop to ~30pt (matching Apple), row spacing tightens, and the quick-action row / number rows auto-hide so the keyboard no longer swallows the whole short screen. The suggestion bar's settings gear reappears so nothing becomes unreachable. Layout re-applies on rotation.
- First-frame layout hardening — less work during iOS's initial height measurement of the keyboard, avoiding mid-measurement layout invalidation.

Fixes

- Pro/language reliability (Rule #41) — the free language limit is now applied at read time instead of destructively disabling languages in settings; a Pro downgrade now requires 3 authoritative empty StoreKit scans spaced ≥1 hour apart (one flaky scan can no longer strip your languages). Language model downloads retry automatically on app foreground, hold a background-task assertion, include the trigram file (previously silently skipped — downloaded languages ran bigram-only prediction), and failed/missing downloads are now visible on the home screen with Retry/Download buttons.
- Unit converter restored — the service had been orphaned since the 2.23.1 tree reset (call site dropped, file not in any target); conversions are back as tap-to-insert suggestions when typing numbers.

- Smarter language detection: the keyboard follows your language switches more reliably — names, fast typing, and mixed German/English/Turkish messages
 - Much faster keyboard startup: language models load up to 40× faster when iOS re-launches the keyboard
 - Pro now works fully offline — no more losing your theme in airplane mode
 - Deleting a learned word from Statistics now removes it everywhere, permanently
 - Better corrections for hyphenated words, names with internal capitals, and Turkish apostrophe suffixes
 - New setting: choose whether backspace undoes an autocorrection or keeps it
